RAGEQUIT, Installed the game over and over like 30 times, can't get it to patch 1.0.4.0.

Using steam, unchecked the automatically update this game, seems like it skips ahead and downloads it directly to 1.0.70.

 

Who knows how to get patch 1.0.4.0 with steam? Don't you need to patch the game for modding files the old way with that patch version as well?

It's been so long I forget how it's done, modify filelist.pak right? All the old file check fixes for 1.0.4.0 are like obsolete and hard to find, I'm so frustrated -.-

i could install the patch over 1.0.7.0 but I think that 1.0.7.0 replaces some files that 1.0.4.0 does not bother, so if I did that, I would possibly have a mix of 1.0.4.0 files and 1.0.7.0's. I'm thinking of just downloading a torrent for GTA IV and using my steam serial key, and making a disk, maybe that will work.

 

I have all of the 1.0.4.0 game files, I just need to know all the files that 1.0.7.0 modifies, I'll find those and just drop in the 1.0.4.0 replacements.

I have this amazing PC, but can't use it for epic graphics. >:[

I don't know if it's illegal but if somebody could sent me their legit main directory files, like just the files inside of "Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\"

not including the sub folders, that would be great, I'm mainly worried that this torrent for gta iv might come with a different gtaiv.exe/launchergtaiv.exe than what the legit would be like.

I have clicked do not automatically update this game, but I think its downloading 1.0.7.0 version of the game directly.

I got this problem when i played on GTAIV because i bought by and played it on Steam, my gta was full modded with enb 0.77 with many scripts cars etc. and when i get update to 1.0.7.0 it brake all my mods, that's f*cking sh*t and updates are automatically applied as same you don't want because if you don't put update the game is blocked by securom and you can't play (..) so don't try to mod some gta or other games on Steam it will own it with updates, devs don't care about modders not their problems..since that i decided to buy EFLC without steam for apply only patches i want without bullsh*t automatic updates from Steam.

First just try to download it from torrent for example and use your serial, because why would you waste money for retail disc? Just try it!

So far I'm running patch 1.0.4.0, and have successfully downgraded from 1.0.7.0.

Now what are the most recent up to date means of patching filechecking, what scripthook to use etc etc for 1.0.4.0? thanks in advance.

 

 

Has anyone tried ENB with snow mod?

Snow mod would be great with ENB, but I am sure a lot of lighting would have to be toned down in order to even see the snow very clearly.

I agree visual settings would have to be adjusted. for anyone who tries it though.

Nevermind somebody already has. We do need some really good quality screens though of it.

EDIT: Tips as to why my GTA IV crashes the second after mission loading finishes with the 0.5.1 scripthook, thus I'm forced to use the hard to find debug version of scripthook?

 

Had a problem with drunken cam coming on, fixed it by settings all exe's to capatbility windows 2000

EDIT: Started a game mission, and the drunk cam returned. hm.. not really a big deal if it only happens when starting missions..

Theres bound to be a file that I can replace that will fix it. Noticed using liveless, I don't have social club running so I'll try putting that on aswell.

 

EDIT: fixed, run with social club.
