nice render but to much white lightening (and some stars)..can someone post pics from eflc ?

another question is what about effects on eflc actually (no patch) ? i try some realistcs timecyc with enb0081 but no effects, is possible to get bloom hdr or other visuals effects on eflc ? i have shaders with extreme reflections

wrong place to ask try here:

ELFC enb

I ask here because no activity on eflc topic, yet.

tweaked some settings ( lowered the shadows mostly ), and i get pretty playable FPS and it still looks photorealistic!

I have 2 overclocked nvidia 460 gtx's though slied. cant imagine how it would run with something less lol.

great job man , looks amazing!

Unfortunately, GTA 4 doesnt use sli as it should. In theory, your rig should easily beat those settings, but engine limits your system power. confused.gif

hopefully the new gta 5 will use sli as it should than, thats ashame , didnt realize it.

I had a geforce 470 a few months ago running gta, and i felt that i got a much smoother game play with my 2 460's slied but that was with the 1.0.0.7 patch on steam.

I had to downgrade to 1.0.0.4 for these effects so maybe sli might not work as well on this patch.

I have GTX480 sli and let me tell ya.. AA with double of 1920x1080 is not performing good. I have to lower it down to 1900x1600 so I can play it above 35 FPS - -"

Sorry i dont get it .. you lower your resolution from 1920x1080 down to 1900x1600, are you kidding? lol.gif

Did you try to rename your gta4.exe to another name such as UT3.exe? UT3 has a working SLI profile and people use this trick for force SLI.

If you tried it and it still does not improve performance, then it tells me ENB is basically 100% coded for CPU processing and not GPU dependant.

Please test if and if you can advise back to us. Would be interesting to see the results.

now really understanding how renaming it would work? i don't see sli profiles in the nvidia control panel . Isnt it automatic? I have sli enabled that sall i see settings wise.

oh sorry, it ment to be 1600x900.

@Neova I have i7 980X and yeah as I said, I cant use AA on 1920x1080 resolution(3840x2160) so I have to lower it down to 1600x900(3200x1800)

100% CPU? Oh, come on. It usues dx9 library and decompiled GTA 4 shaders. Shaders are processed by GPU only, this is why you should have at least shader 3.0 compatible gpu. Ex, the end of the shader code:

technique Shader_C215BE6E{   pass p0    { PixelShader  = compile ps_3_0 PS_C215BE6E();}}

Inability of GTA 4 to use sli correctly has nothing to do with enb. And now think about this again: your gpu has to render 1920x1080*AAx2(downsampling, not just modern AA)*SSAO. Try to render Crysis with such settings. but instead use AAx8(similar perf decrease, as with downsamplingx2). Even gtx480 will go down.

So, as we know that 1.0.7.0 patch comes with AA setting enabled in option, why we dont have issue with AA turn "on" (even 8xAA)?

My 480 SLI run 1.0.7.0 with 8xAA trilinear filtering smooth as baby ass but as not as smooth when use with ENB on 1.0.4.0?

Maybe because 1.0.4.0 is not suppose to run under AA and some how ENB force them to as it says "ForceAntialiasing=true"? So it has to work as hard as pushing the elephant into the fridge instead of a truck and that causes resource hog? I dont know, it just my assumption. Maybe its down to the game coding itself?!?!

Can anybody explain it better or correct me?

Boris said, that R* themselves stated that GTA 4 doesnt support AA in any way, except downsampling. I had EFLC before, i know that except AF=anisotrophic filtering, there arent any other options. AA= antialiasing. Gta 4 has different render mechanics, unlike other games. It doesnt support AA.

The game doesn't support AA since it's using deferred rendering. The only way of achieving AA with deferred rendering is DX10.

So this means that DX9 does not support Anti-Aliasing on Deferred Rendering, DX10 however, DOES support it.

And there isnt any DX10 rendering(game is a port from consoles, it has unified engine), this was discussed a long time ago, Boris wrote about it. Beleive me, he knows what hes talking about.

I am assuming most people here have probably caught that "Heavy Rain In Liberty City" Machinima on YT?

His Settings in that vid are BRILLIANT.. Not Too Much.. Not To Little.. Just Right... I Wish I Could Get It Like That!

Does anyone know here what kind of CPU is required for using Geforce 460 GTX is? I cant seem to find the CPU requirements or minimum for it. It would help me greatly if some1 could tell me.

turn AA on and you can use a dualcore like the e8400 without limitation of the graphics card.

l3evo settings with DP´s tree code in enb. and smaller pictures.

I am assuming that since he is making the videos as animated shorts that he would process the video after the fact to make sure the lighting and color looked good. Doesn't mean his settings actually look like that during gameplay. I could be wrong though. smile.gif

Yeah dude, Dspleasant (new user,s signed up after long long ghosting to post this) I have serious issues with your settings.

I've gone through many settings previous, and I've had nothing look like this before.

It seems it's all something to do with colour settings or something? It's incredibly dark, and at the same time incredibly bright, with black/red/green banding and grossness, and really over saturated colours, especially mustard yellows.

Basically, is there anywhere in the enbeffects file or something where I can modify the overall saturation/contrast/gamma? It seems to look like it would look good if it wasn't so blown out. It almost looks 16 bit colours at the moment....in the day time it seems fine ISH though.

Yeah Could Be.... just the actual reflections and bloom and overall EMB-Like Effects are present... Actually to think of it,

its probably more like standard game just everything up at full with sum minor timecyc and visualsetting Tweaks.. Thanks anyhow,

just thawt maybe it was an old Enb config...

Peace
