Does VisualIV makes any visual or perfomance difference using it with ENB?? And Haints, PLEASE SHARE THOSE SETTINGS!!!!!!!

Yep, it change color of the game.

About the performance, i'm not sure, but it change too, because it need more power to get those awsome color.

Just posting back as I wanted to state my thanks and appreciation to all that have posted and pm'd me since yesteray (I couldn't leave things as they were without saying something).

 

People have been very open and honest about their lives, experiences and thoughts, which I also have massive respect for. DKT70 - sorry to hear of your past probs, and I'm very glad you have found happiness regardless of this. The fact that you posted back, and the content in it demonstrates to me great strength of character (IMHO). Particular thanks also to haints for posting my pics (good choices btw!) and for the continued support in general.

 

I will probably remain looking in on this thread once in a while as I'm just as curious now with GTA modding as I was on day one (if not more so) so I'm still very much interested in everyone elses mod progressions. I am however not going to make any statements regarding my mod completion, other than I'd love to work on it further and release it, but I am rather uncertain, if not doubtful of this actually happening (at the moment) due to a significant reorganising of priorities, and I don't want to put any unnecessary pressure upon myself by stating any commitments. If or when I get things back to "normal" and possibly resume work on my mod I'll let you all know.

Good to see you back, if only for a bit. I'm still bitter of the past, and not really found that particular happiness I enjoyed in 2000, and it dragged on for around 6 months until the money ran out, and then everything, as you've seen, just fell apart. Still, on and upwards, live and learn.

I'll second what DKT70 already said--great to see you back, LargeStyle, even if it is just for one post. Along with your modding skills you brought a touch of humanity to this board, which will be missed. So take care of what you have to take care of, and check back in with us when you can.

 

@tigerminx, emacrack, RaYzOr_92 and others--I'm sorry, but I can't share those settings with you because I don't have them. I didn't take those screenshots, LargeStyle did--I just posted them. I expressed an interest in his work and he sent me some of his latest shots, which I thought were better than the ones he had actually posted, so I posted them. I don't think he would want to release his set as it is because it is very unfinished. He was meticulously working on his timecyc.dat, hour by hour, and I think he had only a very small portion completed. If he ever finishes it I think he will release it then, but that is a big "if." Someone asked me how fast his settings ran--again I don't know because I never tried them, but I know he wanted to optimize them with an eye towards speed.

 

@number 1--those are very nice screens, but you did the same thing again--your screens don't actually show up in the post, just the blind links to them. Go to your imageshack page and, under "Embed this image," copy the text that shows up in the rectangular box marked "Forum" for each screenshot, and paste it into your post, replacing the links you already posted. Then your whole photo will show up in your post. Alternatively, you could reupload them and select "thumbnail" and post those, which will create a very small photo that people can click on if they want to see a bigger version. PM me if you have any questions about any of this.

ENB 0.079 SORA with a mixture of gionights timecyc and visualsettings and h1vltg3 shaders. AmbientOcclusion=true, Skylightning=true, AA x2 (1600x1200), AF x16 and Ultimate Texture Mod.

@ Denito - Awesome pictures. Any chance you could share your ENB and visualsettings files? I am rather new at this, and still waiting for ENB to work with the AWFUL new patch which has caused numerous issues. But ah I'm getting off topic.

 

If you could share your setup (excluding Ultimate Textures of course) it would be much appreciated. I really like the screens, the one with the BMW outside the house looks almost photoreal.

Haints, I just tried your set, not bad, but I will be totally honest here, I think the rain is a bit too dark, especially 12pm.

I played around with Rainy, 12pm, and here are 2 comparisons.

 

First with your own set

 

 

A slight change to the direct light.

 

 

Second with your own set

 

 

Again, slight change to light.

 

 

I'm not being critical or anything, just giving some feedback. It's your mod, so I won't try to change it.

I assume you adjusted the timecyc.dat? Would you mind uploading your version of the timecyc.dat for me to look at? Or just telling me what changes you made?

 

If you'd rather not, that's fine, I still appreciate the feedback.

 

And, since I no longer have to hide my admiration for your work due to mutual animosity, let me say I was extremely impressed with the last two screens you posted from your set a few pages back. What you are doing with light through your HDR shaders is amazing. I may not be able to use those shaders when you finally release them since I'm on XP, but I can still appreciate the artistry and work that went into them.

Haints, Here is your timecyc with Rainy 12pm modified, try it and see what you think, it may look a little different on your PC.

I changed Direct Color Multiplier to a higher number than 0, along with the two Ambient Colors to also add more light.

Yep, only that one weather and time, and the timecyc only, I didn't change the ENB ini, so DirectLightingIntensity wouldn't really do anything. The only minor downside to adding light to rain is that the reflections on cars and roads weaken slightly - due to the added light, so I upped the reflection value so it may be a bit high for your own personal tastes.
