Enbseries doesnt work on 1.0.6.0, its very disappointing yes, but you can try pitch's shaders for EFLC onto your GTA IV, you will loose shadows though

I wish I could take all the credit but it's not really "my" mod--more a collection of various mods that I assembled and tweaked slightly so that they would all work together. You can download the set here:

With this set you adjust brightness, contrast and saturation yourself using the in-game menu--I have brightness and saturation set very low, and contrast set very high--I posted a screen a page or two back if you want to see exactly how I have it set up. If you like the results please feel free to post screens as I'm always curious to see how this looks on other people's setups ...

 

As for the screens Noelgamo posted, I believe those are from his own, as yet unreleased, set.

Yeah! I done it! 0.079 SORA with clouds in EFLC:

Everyone Was Able to Have Sora Clouds in EFLC by Replacing gta_atmoscatt_clouds.fxc by the one from patch 1.0.4.0 but If you move Camera you will notice that Clouds Dissapear and Reappear.

DKT70:

It's simple to get that result. The sun glare is "corona", modify SunCoronaIntensity and SunCoronaCurve if it's needed (but as i understood, in the timecyc it's also available). Why to change my parameters and not timecyc? Because in some period of the day you know value of some parameter in timecyc, so when you increase such parameter in enbseries.ini, you can detect from multiplier, how much to change timecyc (damn, i'm writing strange things). SunColorFilterR, SunColorFilterG, SunColorFilterB, SunColorFilterCurve is very useful, just try them, the sun will be more affected by filter color when close to horizon. Actually this is (as i remember):

 

float3 ColorFilter=saturate(float3(SunColorFilterR, SunColorFilterG, SunColorFilterB)); //saturate is clamp if less than 0 or greater than 1float3 ColorFilterHorizon=pow(ColorFilter, SunColorFilterCurve); //2^0.5=1.41, 2^1=2, 2^3=8, ... so more or less colorful lookSunColor.rgb=OriginalSunColor.rgb*lerp(ColorFilter , ColorFilterHorizon, abs(1.0-sundirectionvector.y); //linear interpolation between horizon and top

 

With these parameters you can make the sun to be white at the zenith and red at the horizon without timecyc. Or set all of them to 1.0 and tweak in timecyc.

Remember, the sun brightness is high dynamic range value, much brighter than sky or anything else in the game, bloom will affect it the most, so suncoronaintensity+bloom values in enbeffect.fx are both must to be modified. Violet spectrum shift phenomena may play bad role at first, so set it to lower values, better later to reconfigure it to make red sun without violet bloom and white sun with it (do not set white color of the sun in anyway, it's a bit yellow, search for papers of sun intensity and color, i have this data only from my experiments with hdr photo capturing and not very nice for sun). Try intensity of the sun to set in about 58.0. Uh, another one thing, SunMaxBrightness will clamp max intensity, so set it to 58.0 too.

The sky color much easier to set if you have .hdr images and software like HDRShop, open image, move the cursor to the area you interested and at the bottom of the window will be rgb values of hdr color.

Now about the problem that you can't see the result of hdr because of post processing and monitor limits... Simpe! Open enbeffect.txt, find the code where i read hdr texture (and then applying to it bloom and other stuff), move it to the end of the shader like this:

 

r0=tex2D(s2, _v0.xy); //ignore motion blur, just an example of reading hdr texture_oC0.xyz=r0.xyz*0.1; //make linear space and decrease value, just to make values visible (may be 0.07...)//_oC0.w=1.0;return _oC0;

 

Now you can capture screenshot and it will show the real rendered color, just multiply it *10.0 times (or 14.285 for 0.07) and compare it to result on hdr image, correct in timecyc if wrong.

And again, for better results i recommend to use your own code of hdr inside enbeffect.fx (instead of my code or after my code), because i wrote this shader post processing for original unrealistic timecyc. One more thing, if you will do hdr in enbeffect.fx, also find there my code of adaptation and implement it, overwise stupid setting of timecyc at the night will make it too bright.

Also i recommend to finish these tweaks for sun and sky first and ignore objects lighting, much harder to find balance of time adaptation values and lit surfaces by sun and sky.

wow that's great graphic mod and the best after i saw many pics from members i like it so i download it to tried

but gave me low fps 7 to 18 in the night i've gta 1.0.6.0 i'm using enb 0.79 sora standard setting with VisualIV 1.5 so what's the wrong with it?

my pc q6600 and 6gb ram and hd5770

and one more question how do you setup the colour sun when rising and sunset to orange or red? and how do you make cloud more heavy?

thanks alot to boris for making enb series and all guys who trying to make gta 4 better graphics

Are you talking about my set? Because your specs are MUCH better than mine and I average in the mid to high 30s during the day and faster at night ...

 

If you are talking about my set--two things. One, I think I have enb 0.78 sora, not 0.79, because 79 ran slower for me. I would try going back to 78 and use only the files that came with my download.

 

Two, I'm using patch number 4, not 5 or 6 because I run a lot of mods and I think 4 is the best for modding ...

 

EDIT: After re-reading your post I'm guessing you are just talking about .enb in general? Either way, you still should be getting a better frame rate with that system ...

Got a long way to go yet, but thanks for the comments.

if you finish the HDR shader, then i will be back into gta iv modding, the vid you posted and the screenshots look stunning, it will take gta's graphics to a whole new level.

T.A.Z, What do/did you mod in GTA ? Just wondering, as I'm talking with a few guys about starting a modding group, with the prospect of getting some of the best texture, timecyc, ENB ini, modders out there and trying to come together to bring a whole new level of GTA modding and realism, if possible. Sort of like a "Project Reality" group, or something, just need some feedback from others. Oh, and thanks for the comments icon14.gif

You'll have to ask the others about their sets but I am not using any AA at all. My res is at 1920x1200 and I don't feel I need it, plus AA does eat up the frame rate.

 

Sunrise, sunset screens, I will see about posting these later.

Hope that helps ... there is no way you should be getting such a low frame rate. My FPS actually go up at night, not down.

Over 300 people have downloaded that set and this is the first time I've ever heard about a crash, so when you reinstall GTA IV let me know and I'll see if I can help you figure out what went wrong ...
