f0xx
Hi all. I was wondering if theres a GTA IV error log, and if there is where can I see it? Its because I have installed patch 1.0.4.0 and cant play more than 30 minutes :S It freezes and crashes :S Other games like Crysis, FC2, ArmA 2 run smoothly with no problem. Thanks in advance. f0xx
Hmm anybody? noone knows how to see which errors happened after a crash in GTA IV? ^^
Girish
Doesn't the game generate an error log after it crashes? Anyways, I don't see how an error log will help. I have never been able to decode/understand it. Start by posting your system specifications and benchmark result. Since GTA IV is a highly demanding game, it puts a lot of strain on your system. Chances are that your system might be overheating because of that and hence, the freeze and crash. Check all temperatures while playing the game. f0xx
I have an E5200 2.8ghz with 2gb [email protected], and a HD4870. Freezes only started with 1.0.4.0.
modCJpls
Go to event viewer and under the windows tab, select applications. You'll find a exclamation mark in a red circle in one of the logs telling you that GTA crashed and it will give you an error code.
mkey82
Try the memrestrict command line switch.
f0xx
Thx for the replys. Ive tryed that event logger but I was looking for something more detailed. Ive tryed the memrestrict, and other codes but without success. Perhaps its CPU's fault, but I've heard even with i7 the game freezes and crashes :S Ill wait for another patch or a new CPU, because it sucks to play like this. cheers.
