It's just plain dumb to compare suicidal bus bombers and jungle warfare fighters to an urban 3rd person shooting game. That was a really dumb comparison! @Screwed: Totally agree! I played a couple of TWs with you and one or two TDMs and I must say your playing style is not bitch tactics or cowardness, it's smart you know your role in the game. Nothing wrong with blocking turfs and RPGing approaching enemies. Nothing wrong with hiding close to a turf and giggle your ass off while three enemies run around the turf desperately looking for the blocker. Also nothing wrong with a teammate in a TDM who sits above the action picking off the best opponent shooters with a sniper. Since the A/G War is going on regularly I give pilots a way harder time in killing me. Infact I even have them struggling and going for health several times before they kill me once (not the real Elite ones, we all know how sick Henning, LIN and CHARGER are on PS3 ), but the not perfect pilots accused me of cheating several times for just crouching in a covered area and blasting through their windshield or sending RPGs in their oh so fine strafe circle. ("UR a haxxor, you can control your RPG shots!" No, I have just learned to watch the pattern of the pilots circle and send the RPG on point! "U use a FragFX!" No, I just use sensibilty on mid so I dont over or underspeed my aiming while they're circling and I am patient and pick my shots well, M4 or sniper. Firing blindly towards the chopper will get you newhere!) It's all about adapting! You cant just run in the open against a skilled pilot. You're a golden chicken on a silver plate there! Blend into your surrounding, crouch and be patient. Tactics are your friend! BTW I killed a pilot at the airport on Friday with an SMG and three shots only through the windshield! Deagle: corner shooting is not something that's well thought out or strategic. you're basically thinking, "well I can't kill this guy within the rules, I better use a game glitch to kill him" neither is running for the rocket launcher every time in a weapons: all or powerful game. the thought process behind most of the people who do that is "well, I suck at aiming so I will go find the most powerful weapon in the game so I don't have to aim very well." please don't pretend like you're somehow smarter than anyone else because you don't play aggressively. it's not just about pure reaction time, it's about knowing where to look, what other people are thinking, how to get angles on people, where/how people like to hide, predicting the direction in which they will be looking for you, etc. Anybody can just sit there in cover and wait for someone to come to them, that doesn't take hardly ANY skill at all. what this really boils down to is a matter of patience, some people are content to sit there and let the action come to them while other people want to make things happen. a good player knows when to do both. your strategy also depends on how seriously you take the game. I have played random noobs in tdm's who will spawn, run around for 3 minutes, get armor, rpg, m4 then spend another couple minutes finding a good place to hide. Once you figure out a good way to approach them they will get in a car and take off or run away. it's one thing to do this if you're in a closely contested clan match with a bunch of good people where literally every kill matters because the games come down to just a few kills. it's another thing to do this when the outcome of the game is already decided. you gotta feel me on this one. you can't play every game like it's the most important thing in the world. with regards to myself: I'm actually a pretty bad shooter compared to a lot of the people I play with. I absolutely, for the life of me, cannot hop back and forth and shoot. I loose 70% of these with good players and probably 10% of them with noobs lol! I make up for it by being smart, finding creative ways to attack people, get angles, shoot people who aren't shooting at me. To me, just sitting there and waiting for people to come to you seems mind numbing and boring... maybe I'm just impatient. Explain to me why it takes a smarter person to sit back and wait for people to come to you? When I come out of cover it's usually a situation where both players are killed assuming I'm going up against someone good. What's that get me in a turf war? It gets my turf taken over which increases the chances that my team will lose. Like I said, I play like I would if it were real life. What is smart, stay covered and stay alive, or run out jumping up and down so that people like you can feel better about themselves after getting the kill? Neither do I use the wall cover button for anything than just to maybe glitch into a car without blip in a free mode once in a while. And for the whole going out shooting Wild West thing: The weapons I do best with are shotgun and sniper, one forces you to get really close to your opponent, the other one is designed to take people out from a great distance. What you want me to do? Go in long range standoffs against M4 specialists? My tactic in matches with good players is to either find a spot from where I can have a good look over the action and pick people off from distance or sneak in up close to the action and blast players from pretty close range. In matches against randoms using the open field standoff approach I usually get scores comparable to alx scores against me! Some 36-4/41-7/32-9/29-8 (on bad days like Saturday afternoon maybe only 13-9, ask Renz! ) against 3 car whoreing guys who chatter gibberish and tell me I cheat over the mic or something. So I guess I dont totally suck, I just seem to tend to play against and with really really skilled people so I dont just wanna go out there and be cannonfodder, I try giving them a hard time by coming out of the dark mostly! I love shooters and play them all, pretty much, yet gtaIV is the only one I've seen so many people all proud of hiding like a little B*TCH. Oh gee, 2 minutes have past and still no one zzzzzz...... It is annoying, that's why I play on blips set to all. Yeah yeah call it whatever you want. I'd rather spend most of the match actually fighting, rather then looking for one another. And I'm not talking about running out in the open either. I'm talking about getting down to it and FIGHTING. I wanna have a gun fight, not play hide-n-seek. If you wanna be a bush dweller then fine, but after a while, pick up your balls and fight with blips all. Trust me theres a hell of alot more action, and alot less waiting and yawning. Yep, it's far from impossible to fight helicopters from the ground. You just have to understand the chopper's limitations, adapt your strategy to it and be skilled at shooting. Even if you don't take him out, you can make him continuously run for a healthpack which makes him almost useless. The thing that other team did in the video I posted is exactly the thing you DON'T want to do! (it results in your own tears and the uncontrollable urge to send messages, game- and party invites to the pilot in question to make yourself feel somewhat better ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Intelligence is when you can dodge bullets and still aim, and use tactics to take out everyone. Like I said before, it's a video game not real life. I just let the campers sit there untill they pick up their balls and decide they wanna fight, and I'm just talking about my settings (all blips) And if your so educated why don't you learn to out smart someone who knows your there, by using hand eye coordination. It just takes a better gamer to do this, and more intelligence. I really wish someone here would start a DM event with assault rifles and all blips. Arcturus Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 speaking mainly with regards to team deathmatch: everyone has played someone like this before... first off they will never attack anyone, they never come out in the open or give you a fair shot at killing them. they sit behind a wall and wait for you to approach so they can lock on you (with auto-aim allowed) this is why I stopped playing auto-aim games. with good people it becomes a game of wait-behind-the-wall for people to approach so you can lock on to them while in cover. if auto-aim is disallowed they will wait behind the wall and corner shot you so you have no chance at killing them. it's one thing if you do these tactics once or twice a game, but when they become all that you do, I define them as b*tch tactics and will simply not play with people who do this. I don't think these that's it's even up for debate if these are cheap however there are some more tactics that people use that are borderline. first is, running for the rocket launcher no matter where you are on the map. it's one thing to get it if it's close to you, but there are people who when playing disallow will ALWAYS have a rocket launcher. Another is people who simply won't attack you, ever. They will sit and wait from behind a tree or behind the corner of a building and no matter what they simply will not move. of course they're going to kill you when you're forced to attack them. this can get especially frustrating when playing someone one on one and with no rocket launcher or grenades there is nothing you can do about it. everyone will do these things a little just by playing normally... however it's one thing to do these a few times, it's another to make a habit out of doing these and make yourself appear better than you actually are cause you're good at playing like a b*tch. what do you guys think? are these tactics fair because you're able to do them and it's not actually cheating or are they foul because well, they're just annoying? So what you're saying is, you get pwn3d a lot? Not my personal opinion, but what one man calls "bitch tactics" someone else might just call "tactics". Playing normally??? According to who? You? I've had the balls for a long time, if you're getting pwned don't take it out on me. Most DM games I play have short-medium range weapon pickups and I still wrath. Thats what he means by corner shooting. i know what youre saying about that "corner" glitch and yes, sometimes it is bullsh*t. but taking cover is not cheating. the whole point of the game is to win. any idiot can run out in the open and get a respawn kill, its funner to play tactical. if someone is taking cover on a corner and they pop out and smoke you, why would you keep running at them? if this happens to me, i retreat and look for a better gun, theyll come after you, trust me. i hate people the use chopper, cars, and rpgs, but its part of the game. i get pissed and look for vengance, but you just got to be smart about it. i love to play in untimed matches (sniper preferably), 30 second respawn time (it will make you think twice about running into the open), with blips off. but when 99% of people see that, they leave. that said, i also LOVE playing with leader blips!! that sh*t keeps you on your toes! cheers 2 nah were talking about the glitch... not taking cover. shooting through the corner of the wall i know what glitch youre talking about. im talking about "bitch tactics" like taking cover, which arent really bitch tactics anyway. i try not to die when i play. you have a better shot at that if you dont run out in the open. palestinians and israelis...oh brother. cheers 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thats what he means by corner shooting. i know what youre saying about that "corner" glitch and yes, sometimes it is bullsh*t. but taking cover is not cheating. the whole point of the game is to win. any idiot can run out in the open and get a respawn kill, its funner to play tactical. if someone is taking cover on a corner and they pop out and smoke you, why would you keep running at them? if this happens to me, i retreat and look for a better gun, theyll come after you, trust me. i hate people the use chopper, cars, and rpgs, but its part of the game. i get pissed and look for vengance, but you just got to be smart about it. i love to play in untimed matches (sniper preferably), 30 second respawn time (it will make you think twice about running into the open), with blips off. but when 99% of people see that, they leave. that said, i also LOVE playing with leader blips!! that sh*t keeps you on your toes! cheers 2 nah were talking about the glitch... not taking cover. shooting through the corner of the wall i know what glitch youre talking about. im talking about "bitch tactics" like taking cover, which arent really bitch tactics anyway. i try not to die when i play. you have a better shot at that if you dont run out in the open. palestinians and israelis...oh brother. cheers 2 Yah dude, their making it sound like your suppose to go run out in the open like an idiot then get yourself killed? JCMillerTime Posted July 17, 2009 Author Share Posted July 17, 2009 @ Arcturus: no you can't shoot back at them through the corner, that's why it's so cheap, because its unbeatable. and there are people who do it CONSTANTLY. there is no place in the game for this tactic and it is the only thing I consider to be cheap every time and in every situation. @ MrJohn: it's not about playing the way I want, it's about playing a way that is appropriate for the situation: for example in basketball the players are going to play differently if there's a minute left in the game and it's close vs. if a team is winning by 40 points. In one situation a hard foul is completely appropriate, in another it's totally uncalled for and a reason to kick someone's butt. tell me if you understand what I'm saying here, otherwise I'll assume you don't. I think a lot of you misinterpret my message in this topic. I use a lot of the same tactics that you guys use, I'm usually not a "run out in the open" type guy unless the situation calls for it. The difference is that I do attack sometimes, I don't ALWAYS sit back and wait for people to come to me while I'm in some kind of an impossible-to-kill cover spot where I can shoot through a crack. I do find spots like this, however, when the enemy realizes my spot is well-covered and refuses to come attack me (usually after a few kills) I don't continue to sit there and play the waiting game with them... I refuse to do this. If you're playing a tdm with more than 2 teams, playing the waiting game is counter-productive to both teams. When people try to do this with me now-a-days I simply just leave. I have played the waiting game with people for almost 2 minutes at a time and I realize that these people will never leave their spot. So I just leave them alone and move on. but like I said before, it depends mostly on the situation. If I'm playing with some of my clan buddies I will be a lot less aggressive and a lot more prone to use these "b*tch tactics" mainly because the people I'm playing with are better than me. Using these tactics is a good way to make yourself appear better than you actually are. However, it's another thing to use these tactics in some random game with a few good players and a bunch of noobs when the game has already been decided and everyone knows who is going to win. Sometimes I think "come on dude, we're up by $3000 with 2 minutes left and you're sitting there behind a corner like we're neck and neck" I have no problem with people using b*tch tactics when it's close, but please people, for the love of God: when the game is decided, loosen up and just play. I'm not a man because I'm educated and have common sense ^^ These pride guys just have head shot syndrome. Most of the people in DM and TDM I snipe where making mistakes anyway. They like run in strait lines and out in the open where even a good tactical fighter could take them out as a result of their own stupidity. You snipe a good player and they come get you and don't go make the same mistake again. Instead of showing the internet how bad your pussy hurts by hating, how about learning to play with some intelligence. Pride? Are you fuc*ing kidding me. It's a video game dude. You say play with some intelligence huh, So I take it your a bush dweller too. Look bro, anyone can camp out and kill someone that's not paying attention and just passing through, that's not intelligence, that's friggin boring. Intelligence is when you can dodge bullets and still aim, and use tactics to take out everyone. Like I said before, it's a video game not real life. I just let the campers sit there untill they pick up their balls and decide they wanna fight, and I'm just talking about my settings (all blips) And if your so educated why don't you learn to out smart someone who knows your there, by using hand eye coordination. It just takes a better gamer to do this, and more intelligence. I really wish someone here would start a DM event with assault rifles and all blips. Theirs just more action and requires more attention and skill. I would do it but I just don't have the time. Any takers? Yeah it is a game, and pappy slappin' riled noobs like yourself is fun. ^^ I do have balls. I do just as good in tactical and get the numbers every game to prove it. I've had the balls for a long time, if you're getting pwned don't take it out on me. Most DM games I play have short-medium range weapon pickups and I still wrath. Yes I agree wit that. In TW it's all about defending, as DM is about attacking eachother, not playing wide-n-seek waiting for one another to come out of their hole.
