So I was surprised that this mission is a lot easier than the last one, but I still have a problem - when I got into the helicopter, the controls went crazy, I pressed together - up and forward so I would fly high and go forward, but then the heli started to spin like crazy and I was only getting higher but not forward. After a few spins - "Dimitri got away".

 

Is this heli harder to control? I did Paper Trail and Dust Off and it was pretty easy, but here I just can't control it.

Did you get hit from a rocket? Dimitri's buddy shoot with the rocket laucher and if you'll get hit the helicopter whent crazy.

Well, I'm getting sick of doing this mission, I tried like 20 times already and always failed. OK, so I learned how to fly a chopper, but there's still a problem because when I try to turn, the camera stays the same and I don't know where I'm going, I get lost and Dimitri gets away. Also sometimes, because getting on the boat takes forever, a rocket hits Niko and mission failed. Any tips on this? All you need is to get lucky with the rockets? Is there no strategy? And what about the camera craziness?

When the chopper doesn't focus on Dimitri, I don't know what you play on, but hold the proper key or button to follow your target, like in the earlier missions where you have to follow your other opponents. For example, I'm playing on PC right now and to follow the target with the camera, I hold down the caps lock key. If I remember right on PS3 you hold down the triangle(?) and Xbox it was the A button(?). I'm not positive of those 2, but I know it's caps lock on PC.

I play on PC and I'm not hitting any button except for riding the chopper. It's like this: when I manage to get to Jacob's helicopter the camera stays in place, normally it should move along with the helicopter and when I turn right the camera doesn't turn right and the result is that I see the chopper from the right side and when I turn right again I see the chopper from the front and I CANT SEE DIMITRI'S HELICOPTER anymore - that's how I usually lose him.

Try holding caps lock and see if it is any different. When you need it that is. The first several times I played out of commission on PC I couldn't get the camera to look straight. It would look like it was looking from the ground up when I was trying to fly. I finally figured out to hold caps lock to solve this problem. That's one of the reasons I had so much trouble passing this mission. Usually I'm a really good chopper pilot, but it's harder to fly when you can't see where you're going.

Might try the caps lock method. Also I think that I can control a helicopter quite good, I mean I had almost no problems with paper trail. I often don't know when to bank or when to rotate. In which situation is better to bank and in which to rotate?

i hate this mission too. i can't ever get into jacobs helicopter in the first place. he always flies away when i'm inches away from geting in the chopper. and then... "dimitri got away" this is obviously a problem with the game, as countless people have had glitches and bugs all over the place. i wish a patch would come out for this.

The capsLock trick worked for me. I'll used the MMB instead of capslock. Second try and i'll nailed him. But it is to difficult, so there must be a bug or something.
