Benjimino234
^^ Agree. Knoxx and zombies were fun. The Underdome... Uh, I guess you don't do it for the reward since it's sh*t but for those hardcore players and want to bust their balls. However it should of been part of the main game anyway since there were already arena missions they just didn't expand on it.
Benjimino234
New DLC! The Robot Revolution. Intro Movie Now available for purchase for 800 Microsoft Points. A 'free' level cap will be introduced in patch. Pitchford said that the studio felt that they couldn't go up a full 11 levels, as they did through the paid downloadable content, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, because they didn't want to put another level cap increase in paid DLC. The way that Borderlands DLC is structured, he said, would have required that anyone who would want to get the new level cap from new paid DLC would have had to buy all of the previous Borderlands DLCs as well. No good. Pitchford said Gearbox wanted all players to enjoy this raise of the level cap. Source EDIT: Borderlands Game of the Year edition announced. Includes all 4 DLC. Law0070
I'm pretty interested in this game, hope they still sell pc copies for the GOTY edition in Belgium so I can spend my gift vouchers I got for xmas ^^ though, it does remind me of dungeon siege II, rare, common, all kinds of weapons, with random names invented and generated by the game itself, also dungeon siege II had 3 playthroughs which became harder each time, and lots of side missions, ah well, I had fun with that, so I will have fun with this aswell
Immature Toast
Borderlands is a great game, and it seriously does have around 600,000 guns. The art style does take a little while to get used to though. It's annoying if you drop one of your best guns, because you might never see it again
Law0070
shhh don't make me even more excited to get it, it might've been sold out already lol that'd be a huge bummer..happened to me before
mrpain
I got this game last month (yeah I know I'm a bit late), and this is truly one of the most fun games I've ever played. Guns here and guns there, me and my brother always love to see each other arsenal of weapons. I've so far have a Level 36 Soldier and a Level 40 Hunter. He's probably the best for dueling people as well because he can shoot through shields.
OverTheBelow
I got the GOTY version about a week ago and played it till the end and one DLC. It was great, finished at level 43 if i remember right. Only downside is the GOTY edition doesn't actually come with the DLC on-disc.. you have to download it. Mark
Aye he's f*cking hard as nails. Had to glitch him a few times first as I couldn't be arsed to get my proficiencies up all the way and my step bro had a habit of being a bit of a retard and not looking where he was running while circle strafing him and running right into those pesky minions of his. nixxio
it took me and another dude like a hundred blind tries before we came up with a plan and killed it after a couple of more tries. It's really f*cking hard. I can't remember how many times I fell off the cliff though, although after killing it I did notice a skeleton of a fish of some sort and took a picture of it. http://www.xfire.com/profile/acbx/screensh...?view#106130957 I don't even know who Crawmerax is, he in one of the DLCs? It's part of the general knoxx dlc.

Looks like a whale I ain't suprised, Crawmerax is one tough cookie xD The first time I won against Crawmerax was only because he slammed the ground and I went flying up in the air onto a stone. I then proceeded to shoot him and eventually he died =)

Benjimino234
Has anyone else gotten to play New Revolution? My interest in Borderlands has evaporated. However solo-grinding on Crawmerax is still pretty cool, took me a while before. But I gotten the hang of the rhythm. Especially doing those tricky back shots you need to do. Best thing is... The loot all mine! Mine!

Law0070
okay I just bought the GOTY edition (borderlands + all expansions) for €29.99, but now I wonder, can I play all the games (borderlands main AND DLC's) WITHOUT a connection to the internet? just wondering

It's basically a horde mode, fighting waves after waves of enemies. However through your bloody bruises and broken bones the reward is not satisfying. The loot you get is not good, but still people can still have fun when your like max level and you play in a party. Although you do get the nice bank to store stuff in. All the others are great fun. I had a bunch of fun playing Knox solo, but it probably would've been a lot more fun with other people, I still haven't got around to starting robot-revolution properly either, but that feels so slow alone and I'd need others to play it with. Law0070
woopwoop lvl 3 xP hey, soon i'll be able to join in, too bad my internet connections are seldom, so i'll barely go online, though i'll hope to get some fun out of it
Law0070
ok there's 1 thing I don't really get: i picked soldier as a class, and only picked up assault rifle's, pistols and SMG's because I thought the soldier had a kind of bonus for those..turns out all weapon skills start at zero...so actually, picking a class only matters for their special powers?
Benjimino234
The differences between classes are yeah... Their abilities and their skill trees. Each class basically has a 'ability' base branch, their 'weapon' based branch and/or another weapon branch (e.g The Hunter he's got skills in both for his sniper and pistols) or a 'perk' branch. There are some perks within the other two branches but you get my point. All weapon proficiencies start a 0, I'm not sure if they increase faster with what class you have but it's about those skill points!
Law0070
ah well, will be a nice sport for me then to take all weapon lvls up
