HellHoundPro
I bought a new GTX 275 to play this game. It runs wonderfully when I launch the game and can play though the textures are horrendous and I have no draw distance. No problem, go to settings and change them right? Nope. It won't let me tweak my draw distance or Texture quality for some reason. Texture Quality = LOW Draw Distance = 1 Their is no way to change them. Everything else is automatically set to high. I try lowering those things to try and higher the others but it still won't let me. It says my PC usage is 444/859 so obviously their is room to improve. Is their anyway I can change these? sgt.slaughter
Have you tried making a commandline.txt in the GTA IV directory with,"-norestrictions"(<--NO QUOTES) written in it?

sgt.slaughter
Let me work it out for ya: 1:Go to GTA IV directory, which is usually:C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV 2:Right click --------------->New ---------------------->Text Document<--click 3.Name the new file,"commandline". 4.Open the file, and write,"-norestrictions"(<--NO QUOTES). 5.Save. 6.Try it out and see if it works . HellHoundPro
Ok yeah thanks a ton. I actually did it after I saw your first post. Thanks for the explanation but I guess I didn't need it after all. Works like a charm and looks so much better without any lag. THANKS!
