_Rob_
I have looked around for you and i am afraid there is nnothing like this around for GTA3, which is porbably why there were not GTA3 TC's, i would suggest using the SA or VC engine

I mean how to clean SA map, but not all, except LS
supermortalhuman
@Ryder310 for SA - It would be best to run Map Cleaner by Steve-M and end up with the empty world, and the stripped main SCM. Do not use the water.dat yet. Use default settings of map cleaner, except tell it not to delete the files, or not to rebuild. If you can't stop it from deleting files, just replace it with a non-cleaned GTA3.img: Then you start taking the parts from a stock/unmodded copy of the game and start building them back into GTA.DAT. You'll need to un-comment (#) the comments that Steve's map cleaner adds to make the game see them again, and then with the original gta3.img and the map files (IDE/IPL) put back in, it should have only what you define to return. Will it work? There will probably be more to it... Like missing pieces, whatever the stream IPls handle for example, though you can probably add those. Script related stuff won't matter because none of that will be there anymore with the stripped main. I suggested against this last time we spoke, mainly because it is so much work for something like this, but if you give it a try, it might end up needing less work than I assume it will take... Like, it might only take these steps, not more. But, either way, it is a pretty big task for something that will just end up being a removal of items. I suggested you to, and you should check out, GTARandom's mod Los Santos Stories - look it over, it's exactly like your idea we talked about in IM: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=418499 GTARandom is new at modding too, and wouldn't you know it, you both know me. So it should be easy to get you two together, since no one has their head up their butts yet to the point they won't work with someone while they're learning like most others do. It's brainless to turn away help, no matter how small the task - maybe this project needs you, and you need it (it is so similar the ideas, you can help with this I'm sure).
