Mikoyan-Gurevich Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Generally, the cops are witnessed as "Stooges" and "Zubs" by us GTA players, they can get frustrating when you get stars, and they do get annoying when they kill/arrest you. But SOMETIMES they can end up helping you out. Use this as an example [this happened to me earlier] I walked down the steps that lead to the subway, and I was bored. I saw three guys standing at the bottom talking. I had about a dozen Molotovs with me. I havent used a molotov recently, so I lobbed one at them. THey died from burning, and I continued walking down the stairs with other peds runninng away screaming. When I reached a bottom, some Mexican/Spanish guy pulled out a pistol and started to shoot at me, right infront of a cop holding an M16. The cop immediately shot the Mexican dude for me, and I got no wanted stars at all. Thus that cop saved the day. Anything like this happen to anyone? GTA_getaway_driver Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 I came out of my Alderny safehouse and a dumbass hit me when I was crossing the street, I capped him and all hell broke loose. 5 cars in the area had gang members in them, totaling 8 guys down there including 4 guys up on the bridge totaling 12 people shooting at me and eachother. I called the cops and they showed up and started shooting, along with 3 other officers in the area, th cfops were soon killed off by a guy with a shotty and another with a Mac. MitchyK Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 When i was doing the mission where you chase Bucky to his buddies hideout, I pulled up behind Bucky and they all started shooting at me, before i even got out of the car a police cruiser pulled up, two cops got out and started returning fire. I sat there watching as more police and then a helicopter turned up and they started piling inside and finished the mission for me, without me ever getting out of the car! Suddenly a mexican guy with a micro uzi started to hit me... Damn i was with 5 % health sudenyly a cop with shotgun hitted him and they both started fighting... Mexican guy got killed by shot however cop was too killed by last bullet... I felt so sad at that cop saving me and i was at 5% health but guess what I did.... I saw the other cops see that dead cop and ram the car over him! I awas so angry by seeings cops hitting a dead cop and as cops were going fro road i took rocket launcher and blasted those cops as hell away! I usually steal 3 or 4 cars without attracting the police, then I get all the drivers running after me. I approach a cop, one of them punches me and they all start fighting. Sometimes the drivers punch each other and the cop, and I just stand there watching. I still need to try a war in Hove Beach. People say the cops go mad with the Russians, so I need to try that out. On that mission for Brucie, I found that when you pull out of the initial area (near the darts venue) to go on to the main road to escape to Brucie's, just on the right at the junction to the main road (opposite the cop shop), there is a pull in up on a ledge. I usually swing in there and park the car right up against the dumpster bins, where the bullets just miss you - the bad guys don't follow you there. Call 911 for the cops, they arrive whilst bullets are still whizzing around you, and start a shoot out. You can do that a couple of times. Also I find your assailants tend to crash their cars backwards and forwards agains the wall beneath the ledge. Very handy. You can usually finish them all off from the ledge, when the cops are either dead or no more around (otherwise you will get a wanted rating). Then, when the coast is completely clear, I drive the car to Brucie's. Tends to take a bit of time, but it works, and the cops have done some of the work for you. PatrickFaustin Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 I was trying to climb a fire escape and accidentally got a 2 star wanted level somehow, but did the wanted level down cheat and continued, only to see that a security guard was still firing at me. The LCPD arrived and they helped me fight against the Russians. When I fired a shot, I didn't get a wanted level unlike in free roam or Vigilante missions, they don't go after you when you fire at someone. It's pretty sick. Check it out. Forgive me for the quality. It's hard to record without a tripod. I wish I had one because the camera I have is the PSP camera. I started chasing it, pressed (Y) and got it. Before I even got time to press on the left trigger, the guy pulls me out of my newly-owned car. He hits me, once, I hear "Make this quick i'm hungry" (XD) and I spin my camera behind me. There, sitting a car away, was a cop car. Just when Eddie Low started stabbing me in the face like twelve times, a cop car just so happened to be driving by and they shot him dead. Plobo Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Once, I was going to go shopping to the Russian clothes shop, so I buyed some glasses and went away. On sidewalk, there was a guy, smoking, looking like some totally-badass-russian-gangsta, so I punched him. But then, some gangsters come from nowhere and start shooting at me. So I rush back to the store and hide. They were about seven or eight, all shooting at me. Pistols, maybe a shotgun. But near the shop is a police station, so three cops start shooting at them, using the little colourful boxes (dunno how they're called) as cover. They didn't pay any attention at the time, so I called another police car through 911. After a while, there arrived two more cops, so it was 8 vs. 5. Cops aren't good in shootouts, and the first three died soon. There were about four gangsters left. I thought the cops will die, and the gangsters win, but then another police cruiser came and they drive over the gangsters, which were on road. I was totally looking like WTF and then start laughing. The rest of gangsters that survived the "accident" were shooted so soon, they couldn't even get up. Unfortunately, I set the Clip Capture to off, because then I get about two FPS boost, dunno why.
