Oxidizer
Marcus is a f*cking ladykiller, I love it. Especially seeing as this could quite easily fit into Death Panic. He's exactly the type of character I root for; a rough and arrogant bastard with an eye for the ladies. Just perfect.

Oxidizer
If I knew what that P word meant I probably would've latched on. But holy crap! This is an actual prequel to DP?!?! I am absolutely f*cking speechless.
El Zilcho
What is Death Panic? And where can I read it? Was it the story where the guy had a body in the hotel room, then met the man coming into the building and killed him too. If so, I love how this ties in man. Face McDougal
My wife and I just read this. She said she liked it but thought the ending could've been better, I don't know. I enjoyed it, quick read and good writing. I especially liked some of the little details... I enjoyed the shovel being refered to as the "unwelcome passenger". I liked the dialogue as well, especially the husband's... the despair was easily understood, especially how he just said "just get out".

You can find it here Glad you liked it. I was intending to make it a standalone short where you could of course think of your own ending (or what the events are a 'precursor' to) whilst at the same time if you'd read DP, you'd know exactly how things end up. Frank; I'm glad you enjoyed some of the little details, and it's a shame your wife didn't enjoy the ending. I don't know either. It's not a perfect/great ending in and of itself, but perhaps with the acknowledgement of what does come after it may make it a little better, knowing it's the prequel to something else? I believe you might be right about that, Em. I personally enjoyed the piece on the whole. (Though you'll have to work to top The Invitation... that was a great work).
