Booze Posted July 6, 2009 Share Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Hello all, Me and ChristopherD are planning to bring Chris' popular PS3 event to the Xbox. If you don't know what this is, here's the lowdown: There are players on GTA 4 who have learned to use the Annihilator helicopter to a far greater extend than most people have. Instead of chopping other players up with the blades, they fly in first person view and shoot everything up with the guns with great accuracy. Such players are often referred to as "pilots". Fighting such an airforce is a big deal different from fighting people on foot and in cars, therefore many people don't really know what to do against these machines and get killed multiple times. This event aims at 3 things: 1. Providing the pilots with a bigger challenge. 2. Providing non-pilots (a.k.a. "ground troops") with a chance to play as a team against the pilots. 3. Providing everyone with practice and a great time! Interest has already been shown, I'm just posting this here so you don't miss out on this! The other day I was being grieved by a decent chopper pilot at the airport & as he swooped down close enough for a deadly blade swing, I would pump that bird full off auto shotty rounds(for fun). He would ignite, but he managed to grab the health pickup until finally deciding to grief someone else. It was awesome fun, I was hitting that thing with everything I had... Though I hope you realize that the pilots you will be facing in this event are probably a tad better than the one you mentioned.... If all he did was try to blade you, you're in for a ride. Pilots in the Air/ground war aren't even allowed to use their blades Don't worry though, you'll have a full ground force backing you up. @Alex: I don't intend to use this thread as an information outlet, it's just to let the people know who never visit the events section. ChristopherD will update the official thread soon with Xbox info. The PS3 matches are held every weekend, not sure about the time. We'll figure something out.
