gta madman Posted July 5, 2009 Share Posted July 5, 2009 i haven't got IV yet but i will have very soon and i just want to play the dam game and don't care for the quality (the only reason i want it is cause u get to shoot ppl, not for the graphics)i used www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest for some specs my laptop is an asus f5gl notebok series by the way processor- Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU T3400 @ 2.17GHz ram- 4 gb (only it sez 3gb on a performance site) OS- microsoft vista premium service pak 1 (32 bit) video card- NIVIDA GeFORCE 8200M G and with the boring part out of the way, i was wondering if there is anyone here with similar/lower specs than mine that have been able to play the game reasonably well without video lagg thanks for the time taken to read... all of that seems boring but hay... shoot me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GTA!!! Posted July 5, 2009 Share Posted July 5, 2009 The game might run on a 8200m. You may experience some video lag. Mine runs fine on a 8400GS . And since you have 4 gb of ram you need to install a 64-bit OS to use the full amount of ram because 32-bit can't use more than 3.25gb of ram. I have to agree, GTAIV looks awful at low quality. Its mainly just because the resolution but still. Its nasty. Maybe today Ill get around to posting some compairisons for you. And good luck running GTAIV with a 8200m, you will be lucky if you get 15fps-20fps in all low. And your only playing the game cuz you get to shoot people? wow, wouldent Postal 2 be a better murder training game for you?... GTAIV isn't about shooting people.
