Girish
Don't follow rugby so I haven't heard of this player That's why you should follow American football and not rugby. Oh lol, didn't even realize that. Meh, it seems the same to me. Never got hold of the rules of either games.
The Killa
Gronf as much as I respect you this is not just some obsure little celebrity. Not someone who had 15 minutes of fame back in 1972. (Basically people the majority have not heard of)I am not a big watcher of NFL but even I knew of Steve McNair. I know he has done enough, like MJ and Billy Mays to deserve his own topic Ok but he doesn't even hold a candle to MJ or Billy Mays. You can't even compare them to some armored throwball athlete. We f*cking get it, you hate American football. I do not hate American football. I would go on but since mr. Big bad mod will spank me I'll stop. I have my feelings this whole thing was a murder - suicide
ryuclan
They say it was a Murder/Suicide. When I heard that, I thought McNair shot himself and he woman, but I guess not. He was never the greatest player but he did seem like a great guy in general. Sad day.
anuj
He'll never get that final yard now. I've had a ton of respect for McNair since January 2000 when the Rams beat them in the Super Bowl. It was pretty f*cking shocking to see that he had been shot. Didn't see that one coming.
Mihai
R.I.P. Air McNair One of the best Quarterbacks to play the game and a great person off the field as well.
Seachmall
Didn't see that one coming. Evidently neither did he. Obviously I've never heard of this guy but it's still a pretty shocking way to go. I wonder what caused it (the shooting that is, not the death. That one's pretty obvious).

When you're a huge fan of football and used to see this guy play every sunday its weird when he's gone all of the the sudden. I definitely had a lot of respect for the guy, even when he was in Baltimore. And people who think this guy just had "15 minutes of fame" are f*cking retards. Ignore the trolls guys. Dope.
God damnit. I just wore my McNair jersey last week. I guess it's time to retire it.

The man was a 1 time league MVP, 3 time Pro Bowler, got the Titans into the super bowl and pretty much opened the doors for a black quarterback to be drafted early in round 1. JOSEPH X
It sounds to me like him and the girl have been bumped off and it`s been made to look like a murder/suicide. Secret love affairs just don`t end like that, I`m totally suspicious.

I watch the hell out of football and me saying he wasn't the greatest player is completely opinion. I like how you focused on the only negative part of my post. GTA3Rockstar
Yahoo news show that his girlfriend bought a gun two days before the shooting. So, its starting to say this case is a murder/suicide.
Slamman
As the news also reported, correct me here but I have doubts... the pistol was found under her body as the most recent of reports indicated, whereas it was presumed further away initially. But the deaths occured due to shot gun blasts, several at McNair, one fatal one to the girlfriend. It was shotgun that was used in Kurt Cobain's suicide and as such, I always wondered if REALLY possible? It seems so, on rare occasion. It's difficult however. The press is died down on the subject, so not sure what's the status right now
Slamman
Sorry to bump, but this story ain't over yet.... I see reported, a man charged with the firearm that is claimed used by the girlfriend in what is claimed here as listed earlier "murder/suicide", but weren't there two guns? I find it still puzzling. http://www.miamiherald.com/614/story/1146389.html
