Bonecollector47 Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 Hello everyone I play GTA IV on PC and I'm having a little problem. I'm doing Ray's mission Late checkout but I'm stuck, because I always get an infinite loading screen when I'm entering the elevator which should lead me up to the penthouse level of Majestic Hotel. I've tried turning off VSync because I've read somewhere on this forum that it solves the infinite loading screen bug but nothing's changed. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Girish Posted July 5, 2009 Share Posted July 5, 2009 This used to happen to me randomly before the third patch. Have you patched your game to the latest patch, i.e. 1.0.4.0? If it's already patched, then try doing some side missions or other activities and then try the mission again. It should work at some point. I think I'll try doing something else first, then if it still doesn't work I'll get a heli and get on the roof. One more question: can I use Brucie's special ability to get on the roof? I'm asking because I've noticed that Brucie can only fly you to certain places and I'm not very good when it comes to driving a helicopter. aFinn Posted July 5, 2009 Share Posted July 5, 2009 No, Brucie only takes you to certain predetermined places, you can't use it for this purpose. You can practise heli flying and landing outside of the mission if you want to. You can also fly to another rooftop, then take out the ones on top of Majestic hotel with a sniper or rocket launcer, then fly to the Majestic rooftop to make it easier to land there. I walked around the hotel and found a window cleaning platform nearby which led to the rooftop of the adjacent building and the two rooftops were connected by a staircase.
