AmbiquitY
Ok so I have a G15 keyboard which has 6 G keys which can be used for macros or key combination or whatever. I bought this keyboard so it would actually come in handy for gaming. Anybody got any ideas for things/macros I could assign to those G keys? Maybe some one who also has this keyboard and already uses it could pass on his profile? Thanks in advance
Rickzu
I'm also using the G15 (V2, althought I still think V1 is better). I don't think GTAIV has much use for key macros since the game never really requires you to push multiple keys for a single function. Some mods might benefit from key macros, but the vanilla edition probably doesn't. I guess you could always bind weapons on the G-keys for easy swapping (and make small removable pictures and attach them on the keys somehow...like with blu-tack or something). MitchyK
I'm using a G15 V1 with a multi-colour LED mod (Made it myself). They cycle through colours randomly, looks sweeeet! Anyway, if you check out G15Forums and G15Mods, you'll find plenty of stuff to use with your keyboard, including macro's and useful apps. AmbiquitY
I have the v2 also =) Never had v1 so I don't know which is better although I wouldnt mind the extra 12 G keys.. =) BTW I think I might have something usefull for you: http://g15forums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4264 They're really nice and come in handy to remember your shortcuts or whatever you have your G keys set to! Do you use them for GTA? Oh and what's the vanilla edition? @MitchyK: Is this your site: http://micksworld.co.uk/news.php ? I found that one today on g15forums =P And yes I know I can find lots of stuff on there, but nothing for GTA IV =( Edited July 4, 2009 by AmbiquitY

Do you use them for GTA? Oh and what's the vanilla edition? Vanilla, as in "original" or "unmodded" version. Also you do have 12 more G-keys, just use the three mode keys in the upper left corner (M1, M2 and M3). And thanks a ton for that link....will be printing some of those right now
MitchyK
No that's not my site, has similar interests though, so bookmarking now! (well i will if i can find the bookmark button on google chrome!) You can always make your own macro's for GTA IV, a useful one is to record a macro where you keep hitting F2 every 25 seconds for about 5 minutes, then save as a macro, then when in game hit that G-Key to get it to record 5 minutes of GTA Mayhem (make sure it's set to record pauses). I do this as hitting F2 constantly during chases ruins my stride a bit! LOL MitchyK
AmbiquitY
Yes yes I know about the modes =p I didn't buy this keyboard like today or something.. I know how it works, I meant like 12 extra real keys like on the v1 =p And that record thing might actually be useful. Too bad you don't have a script that would be easier =P Now I have to do it myself (I know I'm lazy.) And I made one of those overlays too, but they take some time to actually cut out xD! + Make sure you print it on either photopaper or paste your paper on something a bit more firm =)

AmbiquitY
Post it in here when it's finished! I'd want it too! You can also request one on the site btw.. It's in another topic.
Sventilator
if you are going to capture clips for the video editor you can program a macrokey that presses F2 every 23 seconds and stops when you press it again.. but watch out the clips are large, so they fill up your harddrive real fast..
