ChanandlerBong
Right guys hope you can help me.. My problem is when I start Windows 7 (had it for about 2 months now) it gives me the Windows classic theme and I get no internet connection. when I try to do a system restore from a restore point it gives me an error. I can't change the teme or really do anything. I disabled UAC to the 2nd lowest setting last night and haven't booted to 7 until today so it could be that. If you need any more info just ask please, I really need to get this fixed. Thanks.
Stuch
What anti-virus program are you running? I had a similar problem which turned out to be Kaspersky's Technical Preview. Once replaced, all was fine.
ChanandlerBong
I'm using the McAfee Windows 7 beta.
Stuch
While I can't be 100% certain, I'd recommend uninstalling McAfee to see if it makes a difference. As I said, I had a similar experience (classic theme and no internet connection) and an anti-virus beta was the problem. I've switched to AVG Free now with no problems. If that doesn't help, the only thing for it is a complete re-install of Windows.

ChanandlerBong
Right we have another conundrum. I repartinioned my HD and now have 3 partitions instead of 2. I am planning on having a Media one and then one for a secondary operating system. Trouble is I'm thinking should I put W7 back on on try something new and go for Ubuntu?
