It is very unlikely that any new map area will be added in TBoGT. Actually, it is pretty much a sure thing that there will be no new areas. It would not make sense if the city would suddenly expand for Luis. Where would this new area have been in Niko and Johnny's stories?

 

If there was new land though, I would want some countryside, since we already have more than enough metropolitan area.

Agreed, I certainly can't see any extra areas being added to the environment, unless you're counting extra interiors.

Um who in their right mind would want to see desert in TBOGT? It's pretty much a given no new areas will be added.

 

I think some people forget these are just DLC packs. Not new games.

we unlocked algonquin and alderny after they were deemed terrorist-free, so i don't see why we can't do the same for more space. rockstar did recently expand the midnight club: LA map through dlc, so it's actually a somewhat safe bet that we will get some of rural new york or something else. they can do it.

 

 

in my opinion if we are getting this stuff, i'd like to see some country. maybe luis can live in a nice house out there.

Rockstar North didn't make Midnight Club. Rockstar Toronto did (i think it was Toronto anyways).

 

The difference is that Rockstar North that makes the games, and Rockstar Games that's leading the creation just by overlooking etc, is taking Grand Theft Auto games really seriously, and especially with GTA IV, as they've aimed for it to be as realistic as possible whilst still being really fun in gameplay.

 

With this reality they've been sure to have everyting mentioned at the right time. You might not understand what i mean with that, but you will if i say this.

 

 

There has not been any words in the storyline of GTA IV or GTA IV: TLAD about any other place than Liberty City or Alderney. The way they could block of placed because of terrorist threats just works because we know the city will be there, and we know what it's named, and we know it because people through-out the story speaks about it.

 

 

So there's no logical way there could be a new place. And as you wished for country, that's just weird. What, take a boat out to an island with nothing but country and a couple of roads / houses... Well why haven't you've been able to go there before and why has NOBODY spoken about it?

 

It just doesn't work.

 

On a sidenote though, for the next full GTA-title, i'd love a map that's abit bigger than San Andreas, with "only" two cities, but some country. So something like San Andreas except with bigger cities (like in GTA IV) but with some country in between and around.

 

So, i want some country, but i still want to have the feeling that i get out of IV's Liberty City, to just be in a BIG city. Maybe a city sized almost fully like Liberty City, and then you get two of those sized cities and some country in between.

 

That would allow for airplanes to be alot more realistic to put in there.

Anyways, this is talk for the GTA: NeXt board.

well i think it possible

liberty city cant be the only city in the world

but i think it would be on another map like,

you have to go to the airport and then a new city loads up

 

niko cant use it cause hes an illigal immigrant

and johnny cant use it cause maybe hes on parole or something

Well they could. Like how they took Alderney away and no one said anything but I don't think they will this time. Maybe in some more DLC.
