gtasearcher
As in GTA IV and SA, even if jumping from 1,000,000,000,000 meters won't hurt you if you get in contact with water. Well I decided to change that with a small CLEO. An amount of health will be taken from you after landing in the sea, which is equal to the distance between the water and you / 1.5. CLEO is required. Video Download GTAGarage Extract water_hurt.cs from the .zip to your GTA SA\CLEO folder Mirror #1 Just download the file to your GTA SA\CLEO folder 1 bug is present, though. If you parachute over land, then paraglide over to the water, then jump out of the parachute, it won't work I was wrong, there are no bugs at all, but if you: - jump out of a plane, while above solid ground - paraglide with a parachute above water - paraglide down to the water You won't be hurt Edited July 5, 2009 by gtasearcher

Deji
Nice work, but I think it should depend on how you hit the water in ways. You can survive very high heights in water if you hit it right. So if you were diving forward with parachute, not as much health will be taken and if you were leaning back, more health would be taken off due to shattering of bones n stuff... Not that I'll be downloading it, I'm not bothered about realism. Nice work though

gtasearcher
Hmm. I was wrong, there are no bugs at all, but if you: - jump out of a plane, while above solid ground - paraglide with a parachute above water - paraglide down to the water You won't be hurt So? Did anyone try it? Does it work? Edited July 5, 2009 by gtasearcher
2pacproducer2
I noticed that every time I jump in water from not very high place, I'm still hurting myself. In real life, there is a save height when you are not hurting yourself. But here, I'm hurting myself every time I get in water.

nerner
I noticed that every time I jump in water from not very high place, I'm still hurting myself. In real life, there is a save height when you are not hurting yourself. But here, I'm hurting myself every time I get in water. That is because the code is just to see if you are falling into water, and if you are above water, then subtract the height you fell from/1.5 from your original health, so to do what you said there would need to be a check which saw whether or not you were above a certain height when you fell, and ten acted accordingly. But even in real life, you do feel a stinging/tingling sensation when falling from height into water, so this mod is just right in my opinion.
