SaintJimmy
I gotta say I did not enjoy playing it at 1440x900. Everything was too small I'm now working for the Bishops, after boning his wife+daughter, and can't find a way to get to Westin's ranch! Off to fallout.wikia I go... Well, if you've got an LCD, get SFall - it'll scale up the graphics to their original size at the new resolution you've set. ... if that makes sense. Basically, gives you a sharper picture without shrinking everything.

Reconite
I just wanted to let the Fallout 1 and 2 fans who didn't already know that there is a Fan mod being made for fallout 2 called: FOnline: 2238. They are making Online Public Beta Tests and the mod will include a joint map of Fallout 1 and 2. Catch up and find out more here: FOnline: 2238. FOnline: 2238 Announced. FOnline: 2238 Developers Video #1. FOnline: 2238 Press Release. Note: The last link is the press release for FOnline: 2238 on the FOnline website which is a seperate project using the same engine and tools. In all, FOnline is not the same as FOnline: 2238. Also, that last link is very faulty but it is the right one. I think you just need to keep trying it if it doesn't work for you. If that still doesn't work, you can access it from the FOnline: 2238 Announced link. Edited July 20, 2009 by Reconite

Jean Capel
In Modoc, if you're a female and sleep with a particular person, you'll be forced into a shotgun wedding. This can be a lesbian shotgun wedding depending on who you sleep with. Anyway, one of the lines of dialogue to her is "Can't we just talk?" Because she wants to sleep with you because you don't want to sleep with her, unlike everyone else in her life. I believe that's how it went. You just need a high Speech/Charisma. I'm not supposed to remember everything about Fallout 2 am I? Yup,the first thing I did was patch the game. Otherwise I'm not that far into the game. Lets just say that I'm still trying to save that merchant from the slavers. Bernard Jazz
Grabbed Fallout 2 after seeing it a gamestation bargain bin at the cost of a nice shiny £1. All I can say is that I have no idea where to go, I've somehow managed to acquire a shotgun and a rifle.. that's about it.
Reconite
Hm, I recommend getting the patches (if you haven't already) before trying to go any further. You will need to delete your save and start again but if you don't get the patches you will find the game about 20x harder than it already is due to all the bugs. Also, if you're having trouble working out what to do. You could look up a guide/walkthrough. But a better idea is that you could listen a bit closer to the people that talk to you. Also, try talking to almost everyone because they usually have something to tell you that could help.
Bernard Jazz
Already patched up, Had a quick look at a guide and it turns out I've chosen some really useless stats, perks and traits. So, I've gotta start again anyways.
poopskin
FRANK HORRIGAN, BITCHES. Got F1 of GOG.Com today, will get F2 and FT once i get 6.00 for each game. I was going to make that a fancy pants PNG with transparent background, but InkScape is waaaaay more complicated than paint. why can't there be a program as simple as paint, but with the power of GIMP or InkScape? I use Paint.net because I found GIMP waaayyy too complicated. It is still rather wierd though, I totally agree someone should make a program like GIMP/Paint.net as simple as mspaint. Got F1 of GOG.Com today, will get F2 and FT once i get 6.00 for each game. Oh and also, welcome to fallout (that is if you don't have F3 already). I have a frank horrigan signature stored somewhere... awesome.... gonna change it. EDIT: Heh, the sig is too big. Oh I just noticed, we made this a hot topic! fiercedeity9
I finished F1 and 2 recently and loved every second. I prefer 1, mainly because of the story. I was amazed at the difficulty curve for these games, it starts off pretty high and then suddenly crashes down once you levelled up a bit. Very fun games and the "last stand" of F2 was amazing, especially with a little bit of recruitment and ingenuity to make the battle easier. Fallout 1's final battle was a pain in the arse until I found out a little "trick".

Also with the turret trick and recruiting the enclave makes it easier. Fallout 1's final battle was a pain in the arse until I found out a little "trick". What trick would that be? Running behind a pillar every turn or getting 10 int and a high speech to make him kill himself. actually, i have a F3 Char who's currently at LVL 27 and has gotten quite a bit of unique loot. Fallout 3 was ok but is nothing compared to the first 2. Just keep playing and the experience will be amazing.
SaintJimmy
The trick I used in the last mission of FO1 was standing in a certain position so when the Master shoots at you he hits one of the floaters. Then, you stand behind a pillar and keep killing ever mutant that comes in (I had the Alien Blaster) while the floaters keep taking down heaps of the Master's health. Then once all the mutants are gone you go up and take out the Master yourself.
Bernard Jazz
I've finally got into F2 now, it's such an immense time killer. At the moment I'm in Vault City and contemplating wether I should do a mission for some total bitch there.

'First Citizen Lynette' right? Yeah, she's a total bitch. But instead of making her angry or whatever by accidentally saying the wrong things. Do the missions for 'Councilman Maclure' (which is the good karma way of solving the problem, Lynette having the bad way) who's in the same building and you should be able to earn citizenship that way. That whole quest is rather confusing now that I think of it, It involves a lot of backtracking between Vault City and Gecko. If you've spent enough in-game time that when you go back to Arroyo, Hakunin (The shaman) gives you that depressing news, you can then skip the vaults and stuff - what you do is, you go to San Francisco, and you find out that the Enclave have an oil rig and you ask around and stuff. I can't remember too well but you can divert the fuel tanks from the Cathedral cult's Shuttle into the big tanker ship. Then you've gotta get a module from somewhere (I think the hull of the ship where a sh*tload of aliens are) and yeah. You take the tanker ship to the Oil Rig and find your enslaved tribe, and you find a G.E.C.K in there.

Thanks for the tip, i recieved the info to go to Navarro and find more about getting to them Yeah if you go to Navarro, there's a little shack-like room next to the Service Station. There's a trap door, it leads you into the secret Enclave base. They won't be hostile towards you though, they'll just be like "You better get suited up!" then you can find a room with heaps of lockers with lots of armor. Some other stuff you should do while you're there - Get the Robot Dog companion. You need to find a module (it's not hard to find) then you kill the scientist who owns him. You can them get him as a companion. Also, go to the top level (ground). Find the hanger with the Vertibird in it and scab the Vertiberd Plans (either steal them or the guy can give it to you). Give it to the BOS guy at SF and he'll give you full access to the BoS Base (and all it's Equipment - but, imo, the Enclave armor is better than the Brotherhood because you get a much higher carry weight with it). And a tip; if you access the Enclave Base through the trap door, exit in the exact same way. Not out the front gate, because the front-gate guards will turn hostile towards you.
