CRmobster
Hi everyone. Just installed my XFX 4850 card. Graphics look great, but the game freezes after a little while. At first it froze after only 30 seconds. Now i set it to max resolution, but only med on all other settings. I also manually made the fan stay at 100%. I was driving around, played mission fine, but then went to the amo store and the steps were missing. I walked around the block and they were still missing. I could not jump through the door either. I hit esc and the menu cam up but it took longer then normal and showed a plain black screen for like 15-30 secs. Went back nt he game, the steps were there. I steal a car and drive down he block, make a left ad there are no features. Just road. I hit an invisible light pole and the game freezes. (light pole not shown but car is on side of road). The card never got over 44 degrees. I hit ctr alt delete and get nothing, although audio stops. I hit alt+tab and it starts again. Now as i write this (10 min later) the graphics just loaded and everything is normal, for now.....how do i prevent this glitch...ic an t be stopped like this in the middle of a fire fight. Is mycard unable to handel the load? When i benchmarked it went at 50 fps so i thoguht i would be fine. Thanks -Cody
MitchyK
Your card should run gta fine, what are the rest of your system specs? You did do a fresh driver install for your card didn't you? MitchyK
