problems with sleep

hello, since summer I have some problems with sleep. I get up at 10:00-12:00AM and I go to bed at 12:00 PM, but I can frkin sleep! First, it's enourmously HOT here, second - I can't fall asleep!

What to do? I don't wanna wake up earlier to go to sleep at 12:00, I want to wake up like normal and go to sleep @ 12:00 PM. One day I woke up @ 10:00AM and I really couldn't sleep,I was awake 20h or more.

Maybe you'll say go to a doctor,but is there anything to do without a doctor? What drinks (except alcoholic turn.gif ) can help me to sleep like a child? And I'm serious,every night I'm hoping I'll fall asleep. confused.gif

It depends on what you do during the day.

I have a similar problem.It's f*cking hot and I cant sleep and I actually wake up at 8:00 AM.

Depends.. if I'm in good mood - I go out for all day practicing wheelies on my bycicle, if my mood is not so good - I sit in my house all day.

Lolwut!I do wheelies too and I'm quite good.

But when I said it depends I meant if you get exausted during the day or not.

Oh.. I get really tired when I'm done practicing with those wheelies tounge.gif thats is 8-10h. I'm not very good with them, but getting better and better.

Sleep in a bath tub full of ice cubes and used condoms (don't ask). It works a treat.

I think you have your times all mixed up. Why are you going to bed at 10AM? And then waking up at midnight? Anyway, you should try and do some exercise during the day for a good while to make you tired at night time which will make you sleep better. Try reading in bed that helps. How about buying a fan and keeping it on at night to try and cool you down? I know it only blows the air around in your room but it really does help.

nah I'm too lazy to do excercises in this hot summer. Is there anything? I heard some teas help or something?

I wake up - 10:00 AM in the morning, go to sleep 00:00.

I have a fan at the foot of my bed, and it did get damn hot here as well. Now it's low 80s.

 

Not nearly as bad. I sleep OK, somewhat the same hours but without work, I tend to stay up even longer!

I would not advise ANYTHING Michael Jackson tried to get to sleep. Not good.

 

Try some Nyquil and get a buzz as well!

i don't know what to tell you if it's really that hot, i usually just open a window and don't have any problems sleeping. when i can't sleep i also try to change my position and stuff like that.

Drink some warm milk with a dash of cinnamon and a tad of sugar it does wonders you'll be out like a light.

If you aren't tired, don't get into bed. It's a surefire way to be staring at the ceiling for hour after frustrating hour. Go do something else for a little bit, and go to bed when you're actually feeling sleepy.

Do you have a medicine called "viks medinite" there? Usually when I struggle sleeping I drink some of it,it opens a blocked nose and knocks you out for the night.

When it's something interesting on TV, of course I don't go to sleep but watch TV. But if there's nothing special, I'm trying to sleep. Will try that warm milk method turn.gif

 

viks medicine? Never heard about it. Is that like sleep pills or something? Doesn't that harm my health?

Try doing a lot of activity during the warm day that way you will lose energy and be ready for sleep.

Sometimes during my most desperate nights, I would just down some Nyquil and that would usually knock me out for the night.

Try to stay awake. If you have ever tried to stay awake because you want to see the end of a film or anything what happens? you fall asleep. If you try to sleep what happens? You lie in bed for hours. Just don't go to bed with the intention of sleeping. It's a psychological thing.

 

Also reading and just taking a few minute to chill out before bed works wonders. Oh and stay away from any fruit or sugary things for an hour or 2 before hand, but that ones pretty obvious.

I used to have trouble sleeping and I felt very sleepy during the day and always slept during the day. Now I sleep during the day and I can continue sleeping until the next morning. It's crazy, I even skip dinner. Thing is, is not as if I have any late nights, I just feel like sleepy and can sleep the whole day even if I get enough sleep the night before. It's f*cking annoying. I just want to be able to sleep at night and not feel sleepy during the day.

i might try that wank stuff hell look at my username but i have the same trouble but i try to got to bed at 12 Midnight but end up staying up all night and doing my workout at 6 am anyways gotta workout right but as soon as i'm done i just lay down and sleep from 7am to 1 pm is annoying as hell missing a meal

 

 

(BTW my username is describing my mature sense of humor just if you were wondering)

What do your workouts consist of? I'd say throw more cardio stuff in there, just don't over do it.

I'm not happy with my sleeping patterns, I go to bed at about 2-3am and wake up at around 1pm. It messes me up and I'm no good at waking up early to fix the problem and even when I do I stay up late again anyway then sleep even later the next day. Basically I'm slowly becoming nocturnal.
