Mainland Marauder
Used to do it on a nightly basis. I think the clinical term is "insomnia." I'm a little better about it these days. But I'm up at 5am and I haven't slept, so what do I know? "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." sam33
I wouldnt say its healthy for oyu but its hardly gonna kill ya unless you do it every day for a year or so.
!!GC!!
I think the clinical term is "insomnia." Yeah, insomnia if you actually cant sleep. In these cases, people are choosing to stay up and forcing themselves to stay awake. Speaking of, has anyone here experienced insomnia much? What's it like? gtathebest4ever
i don't do it too often, but when i do i feel like sh*t the next day, because i can't sleep but i'm tired. so i don't think it's unhealthy if you don't do it every night, but it takes some time to get back on track. at least for me. Otter
I used to pull all nighters (maybe get 20 minutes of sleep occasionally) and then head into work. And by all-nighter, I mean a-litre-of-gin-and-countless-beers-crawling-home-when-the-sun's-up-all-nighters. Personally, I think it would kill me now. I tried on Canada Day's eve, but nearly died of a hangover. So, enjoy it while you're young! But of course, simply staying awake? I'm too old for that too. Throws my whole schedule off, and I get all confused and sh*t. I could never be a doctor.
Omnia sunt Communia
I use to do it all the time when I was 16/17. Not so easy now though. I still pull the odd all-nighter though you'll find me crashing on the floor around 1-3AM at house parties now. I'm not the same alchohlc, energetic person I was 2/3 years ago. sam33
Some people are on about all nighters as staying in playing (Insert console here). All that'd do is damage your eye sight and lower oyur self esteem where as going out and getting completely smashed would probably damage your liver among other things. It depends what you do. Vanilla Shake
I just pulled an all nighter. I took 12 sleeping pills and I still couldn't fall asleep last night, so I'm still awake. All they did was f*ck me up. I tried to walk and I almost stumbled over myself. I probably looked drunk as all hell. Now, I'm tired enough to pass out, but I have to go out in a half hour and if I go to sleep now I won't get up until like 11 PM. Insomnia sucks. Breaking Bohan
All nighters don't help you learn - they just make you all loopy. The thing to do is prepare ahead of time so all nighters are not required.
Girish
All nighters don't help you learn - they just make you all loopy. The thing to do is prepare ahead of time so all nighters are not required. When I was in college, that's what I used to think before the start of every semester. But it's more easier to say than to do. Eventually, I ended up fooling around with my time every single semester and then, all nighters were my only hope of getting through. I guess I need more of a strong will. HolyGrenadeFrenzy
Yes, it is VERY unhealthy, especially if spend with a member of the opposite sex or gender! You can never make up for the sleep you have missed....EVER!
