GTARoss
Hey - I hope you can help I installed GTA:SA the other day and everytime i open it i can maybe get a mission done and it will restart the computer unexpectedly - sometimes i get 2 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes. The computer restarts itself without warning if im driving or walking around or anything. My Specs : Celeron 3.66 GHz 510MB RAM NVidia GeForce 7300 SE (Aprox total memory 256MB) Direct X 9 Direct 3D etc Acceleration Enabled Also I've tried running it in W 98 Compatability but no joy. Any ideas what the problem is? P.S. I have no mods. Thanks

lil weasel
Can you say what the source of the game is: DVD, cd-rom disc, downloaded, from a friend, or are you using a 'no-cd-program'? Using any specific Cheats, trainers, etc?
Girish
Is that a laptop? Sounds like an overheating issue. Don't forget to check the temperatures.

Ryan
Check the CPU heatsink. It could be gunked up with dust, or it could be lose and not doing it's job.
supermortalhuman
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer. Tell me what errors you have. No errors there? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307973 Report back your minidump when you can reproduce the issue. What hardware is new to your pc? Note: heat is a kill-switch or a slow-down, not a reboot. Your machine is rebooting because it is hiding a blue screen of death (see link to get back your blue screen of death. Yes, microsoft fixed it by hiding it. lol) edit: improper link, fix'd
GTARoss
How do I check the CPU heatsink and how do I report a minidump? It sounds pretty complicated for me
