StoOopiD
I started this thread cause im always adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation. The screenshot is nice to look at while adjusting, but what the game really needs is a tool to look at also. Ive found some alternatives Calibrize This is what i use. This has to be one of my best finds. Very easy to use, very effective, and ITS FREE ! It kinda reminds me of the color calibration tool found on the old Nvidia drivers. All my games look ten times better ! Spyder This is the only way to achieve perfect color. A physical tool is required to measure color. I would love to have it, but im too cheap. Using Calibrize, I think the best in game display settings should be Brightness 60% Contrast 60% Saturation 60% Since the game doesn't have a tool i dont know. Sventilator
Good tip. calibrating your screen is always a good idea.. I have a special device from work for it that reads out the screen.. But if you have CS installed, the Adobe Gamma Control Panel can also help a lot.. (somewhere in the control panel as well). Never really thought it would help the game.. does it really? I thought I also saw a screen calibrator option in the control panel of windows 7.. I'm not sure, will have to reboot in 7 to look, I'm busy with something now in Vista.. display settings.. brightness, contrast and saturation, I have them all turned up a notch so I think it's 60% also. StoOopiD
I forgot to mention. Calibrize works best on my monitor with these monitor presets sRGB 6500k Gamma to off (my monitor only has 3 settings 0,50,100 ) Calibrize sets the gamma Nvidia driver color settings set to default I know all monitors are different. StoOopiD
The LG Forte' Manager which came with my monitor is very similiar. It was hard and very frustrating. I found myself adjusting all night long. So i trashed it. Calibrize is very easy step 1 -- there will be a white flag and a black flag the white flag will have a white circle inside of it. adjust brightness intil u can barly see the circle the black flag is the same to adjust the contrast step 2 -- there will be 3 similiar flags as above. a red, blue and green. Each flag will have a slider under it. adjust the sliders for each color to blend in the circles. step 3 -- save profile. this profile will be loaded at start up Before i did this. I used vista not knowing the default desktop was suppose to be blue and green. mine was just mostly blue. lol
