Any way, the 2 new DLCs (if they're real) will be about already existing characters, and rockstar will probably lean back into a mob family story, ie. packies family, peggorino, or gambetti. He and St. Michael went with you and Packie on that one level, and stayed behind to cover you while you split with the cash. He was also the guy who guarded Gracie after you kidnapped her. Feral Slug Posted July 8, 2009 Share Posted July 8, 2009 i want to have a female protagonist. and for the other, maybe some hell-bent 17 year old kid set out to kill his abusive father. the first safehouse can be his grandparents' house (his dad killed his mom and left him, so he has to live with them), and he can have a faggio parked on the sidewalk there. those ideas actually seem likely, i'll bet anything we'll have a female protagonist for one, and it's a safe bet we'll have a young one, too. i also hope by then we'll have some extra space to play with in liberty city. criterion was able to make a new island for paradise city (which is about the same size as liberty city), so it shouldn't be hard for rockstar. maybe a little bit of rural new york. Something has to give, most likely the original title, plus with all these delays happening it would be an excuse to push it back even further. Under this scenario it's not at all difficult to note that Rockstar Leeds in particular would be in a great position of trust amongst fans and investors to expand the series faithfully despite focusing entirely on portable titles in the past. The stories games were episodic expansions were they not? It is clear that without any significant gta releases until 2011/2 Take Two would be in a very vulnerable position to take-over from EA, Activision/Blizzard, MTV, etc. There are indeed two more characters that most people will agree like Luis and Johnny were far more detailed than their on-screen-time warranted - Gordon Sergeant and Jermaine Andrews. The lapse of exclusivity will mean that this time PS3 and PC fans will not get left out in the cold which could lead to renewed interest, especially if this time these expansions are as substantial as Chinatown wars in terms of depth and length. If it was Claude Speed XIII 2010: Speed's Seed it would have run aground years ago. I think Liberty City is elaborate enough to support several stories, especially if more interiors are developed or, if GTA stays in it past TBOGT, if they shift what year it is and make lots of changes like would occur in a real city. The development advantage of staying in one city is that it can gain more detail and features. That is a great idea. To have this 'new DLC' set like 2 years later.
