Tomass2010 Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 When you play the game there are a few momments where you have to escape N.O.O.S.E. or the FIB this is most obiously S.W.A.T. and FBI but why the name change? Did the FBI and SWAT write a threatening letter to rockstar to have there company's likeliness in the game or is there some other reason for it? I would imagine it was the first case because for a game that really tried to be realistic the FIB thing just sticks out like a sore thumb. NOOSE is kinda like when the swat comes for you, that means your screwed, so its like theyre tightening the noose (round your neck) I really doubt an agency like the FBI or any SWAT teams would go out of their way to threaten R*. I totally saw the N.O.O.S.E thing but the FIB just bothered me especially when Niko is talking to the Liberty Paper guy i think and he is like "Who is trying to squeeze you FIB?" or something to that effect and i cringe a little going "omg that feels so out of place!" But sometimes I have a lot of spare time on my hands, nothing else to do but video games, I get bored, and when I get bored, I sometimes start a game over again. Well, I don't own a PS3, so I can't play those games, but I do have a 360, and the games I've completed are, GTA IV, Saints Row, Saints Row 2, Assassins Creed, Left 4 Dead, Lego Indiana Jones (lol It was a gift from my nephew, his parents wouldn't let him buy me any rated M games because they're over protective and don't like him even LOOKING at a game like GTA 4), Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Mercenaries 2, Fallout 3, Halo 2, Forza Motorsport 2, Bully Scholarship Edition, (lol), and The Elder Scrolls IV:OBLIVION. Do I look like a homosexual?". And when you do the mission with Little Jacob in the chopper where you have to take out some guy in another chopper above water, Lil' Jacob mentions "They be some goverment ting 'bout him" Something like that in his rasta language. So F.I.B/F.B.I isn't govermental? Whatever is up with the FBI and the NOOSE, R* don't laugh at them as much as they laugh at the stupidly-retarded cops. Come on, most topics on here that laugh of something in R* is usually the cops. Their sayings are jaw-hurting. I never heard an FBI say "Make this quick, i'm hungry". Nice thread, never though much of the FBI and such. Thanks for the mod for bringing the topic back on track, i'm actually interested in hearing peopls opinion on the subject. Agree, like I said, I remember reading somewhere, can't remember where though, I read something like SWAT and FBI were renamed cause some legas issues.
