Seachmall
By Martial Arts, and Traditional Martial Arts, I'm refering to Judo, TKD, Karate, BJJ etc. That may be the wrong term for them, if so I apologise for the confusion. I do agree with muscle memory from any of the Martial Arts will help but once you're taken out of that element those techniques are rendered useless e.g. You train in TKD or Karate and get taken to the floor. I know both TKD and Karate do include ground fighting but it's not a big focus but in real fights it often plays a huge part. As for your comment on non-martial art/self defence courses I completely agree. I mentioned above in my 3rd of 4th post Krav Maga would be useful and the most practical, and I believe the Marines (the example you gave) train in Krav Maga along with Atienza Kali which are both "real world self-defence" techniques and as such pride themselves on not being Martial Arts. What I'm saying essentially is that if you train in a specific martial art and have no experience with street fights you might be disillusioned regarding your ability to fight in the street. They rarely go the way you were expecting/hoping and when they don't you have to be able to keep your composure. If you're grappling on the floor but have learnt to fight on your feet you're technique is gone, you're going to have to learn floor technique and you're going to have to do it fast. No matter how much gym work you do nothing will prepare you from the street except street experience. Edited July 2, 2009 by Seachmall

Anyway, yeah, we're pretty much on the same page. I just don't think it hurts at all to take a class, but I wouldn't invest too much in the technique themselves. In the end though, you might be able to tune some basic things into muscle memory, but most of it will degenerate so fast in a fight. The most I retained from Judo is some basic intuition on shifting body weight which really helps in grappling; the only actual technique I've ever done from Judo in a real fight is a hip throw, and it was very poorly executed. I don't ever draw on my Karate experience in fighting. In fact I gave up karate because I couldn't generate power with their techniques; I was already so use to my own brand of punches and kicks that I just couldn't retrain my body to throw punches another way at the same level of force, so I definitely appreciate the notion of learning from the streets. Effy in Chains
Rape your best friend's sister and film it (another option would be pretend rape, but make sure you tell her to act like she absolutely hates it) then send the DVD or VHS if you're feeling retro to that c*nt who is going out with her. If this doesn't solve your problem by causing him massive emotional stress, then at least you got some free sex.

chris
Just kick his ass, nobody will give a f*ck a week or so onwards anyways. I had a fight in school, well two actually, the first one i lost on points my mates said, truthfully i didnt really give a f*ck at first cause you cant win them all. Then i heard that he was going around school telling people that i got battered. I decided to have him round two and he ended up in hospital with a shattered eye socket, broken nose and a few other injuries to the face. After the fight i was like king of the school for about a week then something else happened and everyone forgot about it. The moral of the story is most things get forgotten after a week or so (Michael who? Jackson? Nope never heard of him), your best bet is kick his ass or give him threats and then move on with your life.
Slamman
Along the line Seachmall suggests, using the ancient Martial arts, do not provoke, ONLY defend. Take the higher path, Grasshopper, The road to Peace. Think of David Carradine as you do so. Piss off the Devil by avoiding bloodshed, hurt and pain. What worked for me is running like the Devil...away from those mofos. They never caught me! Edited July 2, 2009 by Slamman
El Zilcho
Marshal arts Martial Arts, isn't it? I think that's how its spelled, sorry for being pedantic Just fight him, he's spat on you. How much more disrespectful can you get, he's asking to be taught a lesson. Sure, violence isn't always a good solution, but in this case go for it. He is two years younger, so maybe it may be over reacting but if your adults, smash him. U R B A N I T A S
Pr0xy_fl00d3r
Just kick him between his legs, right in his bollocks, no man, no matter how big, hard or intimidating they are will react to a kick in the balls. Either then run, or follow up with a boot to the head.
Slamman
I thought it funny to point out people who were bullys, give them the BLACKLIST, so Tom Westgard, you know me! •Rapidoh
Great Slamman but that has no help what so ever to this kid here does it? @Topic - I'd just leave him be. If he still starts acting like a crazy mofo when he's around you and your friends then you should have a word with him and tell him to piss off and grow up. DeeperRed
Fighting is really never the answer. I have managed to do pretty well at getting out of situations leading to fights simply using lanaguage, most of the time it works. Though without trying to sound big headed very few people would pick a fight with me anyway considering my build (thanks rugby ). Sure if you win the fight the guy might back off for a while but he will get you back. Even if its when your back is turned he will get you again. Its better to just tell them to f*ck off from whereever they come from. Lying is also another brillient idea as if they dont call your bluff they can leave you alone for a very long time One time there was this lad having a go at me for doing nothing but wearing a shirt So I walked up to him looked him in the eyes and said "Do you enjoy life ?, because if you do, shut the f*ck up right now or you will be six foot under by six oclock tonight" so he replied with "Yeah and who the f*ck are you ?" "Im John (Not my actual name) and if you piss me off one last time I will have MFS cut your throat right open while I repeteadly stamp on your f*cking skull" the guy litterally legged it. MFS by the way is a gang in my town, I am not in it but I knew the mentioning of it would scare the f*ck out of this guy. It won't work on the more intelligent people but then again more intelligent people usually dont start fights

A swift right hook to the chin can put even the biggest of men down, i remember me mate sent me a video of some big bodybuilder security guard on the doors of a club in town and he starts kicking off on some small fella for virtually f*ck all, out of the blue they both start scrapping with eachother and the skinny dude got possibly one of the best punches ever on the security guard. trip
can you really call a 13/14yr old a 'tough guy'? just forget about the whole thing. you will grow to be a good person and he will prob grow to be an asshole. that should be enough payback - at somepoint you both will be in your 70s and you will have a better feeling about things as you sit in your rocker on your porch. assholes turn into unhapppy old people My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens

Suge (6'4", 315lbs), The Barber (5'10", 175lbs), The aftermath, Took him out with a hook. I've seen it on more than one occasion (I was involved in one, and I wasn't the big fella), height and weight generally equals arrogance and humiliation. Particularly when a sucker punch is involved . Edited July 2, 2009 by Seachmall

PHARKIN CHERKOV
Well at that age I'd just ignore the little kid and just hope some of his braincells magically start working. I kind of had/have the same situation. Was messing around with a girl (and I knew she had a boyfriend but we weren't doing anything too serious). We slept together but apart from cuddling/kissing we didn't do anything. We wake up, kiss goodbye and my day continued (hanging out with friends). Suddenly I get spammed with messages from her boyfriend that he's going to gut me/cut my head off/what I must've been thinking/I have to crawl to HIS place to apologise for what I've done. I just ignored it but days later he keeps on going on and on about it. Things starting to get annoying (he keeps on insisting that I should crawl over to his place and beg for mercy and apologise) and I want to beat the crap out of him (well, meet up with him). I tell that to my mate (who knows that guy really well) but he says I should just let him spam me and he'll stop. Eventually he but about one/two weeks later he starts sending messages again ('how much of a coward I am/how pathetic/how he's going to hunt me down and beat the crap out of me with 5 of his pals'). Problem is I haven't seen him come over (nor beat the crap out of my best friend since he also threatened to 'slaughter him'). I send back, confident, that I want to meet up with him and her so we can have a little chat. I already planned with my mates if the coward brings such a fighting force (which is obviously big talk) that they wait in neighbourhood in the car. I send the message... he 'is busy and cannot come'. I get even more pissed and send back 'All talk but no walk, and you call me a coward? Hypocrite'. Never heard anything from him ever since... still want to beat the living hell out of him. Tried calling/sent her a couple of messages to meet up sometime (and also to show him that I'm still around and haven't forgotten about him ) but it doesn't seem to have much effect. And now another two weeks later I hear jack sh*t from him. Just another coward. And I'm not the type that beats up people... but he just asked for it. If I see him, I'm going to talk to him at first and then start beating him. I don't care... such a prick needs to be dealt with. By the way: the guy was one year younger than me (and I'm eightteen). Dude, have you ever been in love? I'm not saying that the kid was in love, I don't know him but that is a big f*cking no-no to fool around with anyone's girlfriend. You're lucky all you got was some text messages because I would of been all over you in a bad way. All I can say on this is forget it. You kids really do fight over bullsh*t, I have been in probably two or three fights and they were all over jack sh*t -- my last one was when I was probably 21 years old and I was gang bashed by three guys - left me with a broken nose, busted lip and two black eyes all over because someone called me something and I couldn't resist, I'm 23 now. Wake up, kids, enjoy your lives... You're only young for so long. If you want to seriously think about fighting then do it legally, go join a MMA training camp at a gym and learn some boxing, wrestling and BJJ. Bullet_Chris
Apparently this guy is a rapist.Yeah, I know.My best friend's mother said that she has a mate at her work place whose daughter was raped by this guy and one of the girls eyeball got out of its place because she was scared or something. This dickhead tried to rape my best friend's sister too, I think. Yesterday nothing happened.I think he avoided us.If he ever says anything to me again I'll take care of him.
