jakeslogan
I've just bought and installed my 8600gt card, it works fine on most of my game except GTAVC(Vice City), The problem is that there isn't any reflection of the car lights on the road while it's rain(the weather), I've tried to configure my NVIDIA Panel by moving the slide to Performance, removed my newest forceware(186.18) and installed the older one(175.19), took my card out and plugged it back in but so far no luck, I have a fresh install of XPSP3. I've also tried to patch the game to ver 1.1, changed the compatible mode to Windows 98, reinstalled it but the problem still orcur. It also made the game lag a little bit while driving. This didn't happen with my older card(FX5500) or my onboard chip(GMA950). My specs: CPU:P4 631 3ghz MOBO: 945GCT-M2/1333 VGA:ASUS EN8600GT 256MB GDDR3 RAM: 2GB DDR2 667mhz(dual channel) PSU: 350W(real) 21A on 12V rail HDD: Western 120GB SATA DVD: LG 52X. OS: Windows XP SP3 (32bit) DirectX 9.0c (March 2009) Any idea to fix it???(Sorry about my bad English)

Masturmind
I dont even think VC has any reflections on road... Its an old game... even SA doesnt have reflections on road that i know of. There always was reflection even in GTAIII, if I remember it correct. So I think it could be in VC and SA to. However, it wasn't while it was raining but after the raining when the road was still wet.

Spuds725
This might be obvious to you and you did it already but delete the .set file from your HD (located in your saves folder under my documents... you will have to reset your video settings when you start the game up I would also look at problem #21 in the bug list -- it isn't specific to this problem but may help.... several things you can try.... http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=188753 This seems to be a very specific problem that I've never heard of before-- hopefully you can resolve this... jakeslogan
Thanks for your help Spuds, but look like this problem is too tough, I've tried all the solutions you gave but sadly it wouldn't work. Maybe itk was right, maybe this is really a 8600gt problem.
