Not a single f*cking one. EDIT: So I just got into a game. So far, I like it. Sniping is fun, though the hit detection can be awfully bitchy sometimes, it's pretty good for $15. They just have a severe lack of space, they really under-estimated how many people they would need to cater for. They're working on adding extra servers 'around the clock' apparently. However, it's EA's own ignorance of their customers that no doubt fueled the idea that the should use their own servers rather than the Microsoft XBLA servers. And too many people is no excuse for the server issues that are being encountered. When you have a spinoff arcade game from a highly successful franchise, you need to expect that a lot of people are going to want to play the game. EA are just a bunch of moneygrabbing c*nts. And is it me or are the tank sub machine guns absolutely useless? I swear I'm aiming point blank at these guys and they're like that Fortune boss in MGS2.. the bullets are magically missing them! Minic Posted July 10, 2009 Share Posted July 10, 2009 I've managed to play a few games of this, mostly on Iwo Jima though, which has annoyed me as i haven't really been able to play on Wake Island much, which i'd really like to as thats the one i remember the most from 1942 (i swear it was on that) and it was an awesome map, but from what i have played, it's a very fun game and considering i haven't been able to play Bad Company for some time (thanks EA ), it's nice to play a Battlefield game again. Some people have them and some don't. It would be miles better without them, Bad Company had them too I think. Kajun sniped me from the carrier when I was on land. Also I really hate the spawning on this game, many times I have spawned and there are literally enemies in my face or a tank right next to me. All I play is sniper though, I don't like the other classes. Same here, I did the same in Bad Company as well really, except i someitmes used the Demo class for tanks. You also don't get kills if you kill anyone who is in their own base (as opposed to what you said) but this actually makes sense to avoid spawncamping, whereas camping from spawn should be allowed i think. Anyway, I've discovered I actually can't fly anything. Ever. I couldnt fly the heli in BC and have now discovered i suck at the planes here too. I have no idea how i keep getting shot down because I can't even get someone to stay in my sights. There must be some ace pilots out there. I would ask on their official support forums but apparently my gamertag isn't recognised so I can't link it to my EA account, even though I've played multiple games that need it. I tried a few times being a pilot, but it just didn't work! I crashed every time & didn't manage any kills, it does look real fun though if i got the hang of it. One of them couldn't go online (yet) since they were having maintenance. The other one just had to wait a couple of minutes before he could. We both played 10 minutes and hopefully he has still 10 minutes to play. There are some bugs (in my opinion). The sniper rifle doesn't shoot correctly (or it must have somekind of insane bullet drop). On top of that, you cannot 'no scope' with a sniper rifle. And other bugs: well basically what was in Bad Company. Lobbing a grenade close to part X of the house/shooting a rocket against part X but only the opposite side/wall next to it blows up. Seddo Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 (edited) I downloaded the demo on Sunday and was playing quite a few games whilst playing on all 3 maps with a decent amount of people in each game and thought why would i need to download the full game when i'm getting most things already....and then....a message comes up saying the trial has ended, damn. A good game which is quite addictive and it's just a simple pick up and play game, i hate it how everyone appears on other peoples radars though even if you're not shooting, bit daft, but i suppose it stops people from camping and forces everyone to keep moving.
