Looking forward to it but the fact that the Japanese have the K98 sniper rifle and a 'Garand copy' makes me want to puke. Why not give them a Arisaka sniper rifle and bolt action rifle? Damn, is it that hard? And if you really want to 'balance'... make a bolt action rifle one shot one kill but the garand two shots one kill (difference is working the bolt takes a a bit longer compared to the rate of fire of the M1 Garand). But anyways... on top of that the content is rather limited (3 classes/'3 maps'). They promised a special treatment for the PC folks/version but I doubt that... probably one little extra and as for the rest an identical version graphical/gameplay and content wise for the PC. I actually hoped for big WW2 Battlefield title (with more maps/more classes and maybe even more theatres). Wishful thinking? Yes... I even pray for another Battlefield Vietnam done really good this time (new engine + bigger list of sixties 'nam tunes would be a big plus). Please stop spreading out false info from wikipedia. I've got my MS points waiting for the release. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like this, I've played and pretty much loved every BF game to this day. Expect I didn't like Modern Combat that much... EDIT: I just watched the video, and holy sh*t it looks beautiful And wrench as a melee weapon Can't wait! I'm not that hyped about it, so I don't mind waiting 'til September. I can see how eight days can be much. @fullmetal: They're keeping the P38, K98, and the Garand-thing? Unlike before where you have to mash A over and over to get in a game. Now it just says searching and takes forever and I cant quit, I can only go back to dash so. I cant play anymore. Prettymuch paid 1200 points for a menu screen. I was gunna go for all achievements in a day, except the 100 games one. Lame as. (also not to mention its a EXACT reskin of bf bad company, which I didnt even like. You shouldnt be able to see where all the enemies are all the time, or at least hide when crouched as its bs. The only thing they changed other than the theme was adding planes (which own) and no weapon change just being able to use a different button for a different weapon. And I hated bad company quite alot. And this is just a worser theme. YOU DONT EVEN GET A f*ckING PISTOL FFS. Only as sniper, which I dont want to be. They couldnt be f*cked to put iron sights on the smg's. Infinite ammo is really going to become a problem with infinate rockets, and nades and bombs on planes etc.) Stupid the japs get a f*cking M1 Garand with different iron sights and a symbol what the f*ck? Thing is though id wank over this game if it was vietnam. But im just sick of WW2 and all its lame guns. The good ones arent even in it. Like the BAR and the 1897 winchester shotgun. After trying for 15 minutes, I got into a game, and after 5 minutes of playing I got disconnected. Managed to raise my rank to Master Sergeant Gold, at least... Then after trying again, I got into another game: I got to fly a plane for maybe 15 seconds when it disconnected again. Then I got a invite to a private match, the lobby was full, I waited there patiently when I was disconnected from there . The first time I got in one and was flying (third person) I was screaming like a jap kamikazi, but when I switched to first person I instantly flew 95% better and I shot down 5 planes in the rest of that game. It doesnt take long to take them down. Bombing I havent mastered yet, Pretty impossible to do without divebombing. I love that sound. They need to patch certain things, like explosives reload times, as bombs respawn way too quick in the planes, so the right pilot could own everyone. I just wish I could create my own class. Choose the items I want then the weapons I want then the skin I want. Prettymuch I like the garand even the jap one (ha) pretty accurate and sounds nice, but I want the pistol from the scout kit. Sword from the japs scout and Rifle grenades. They should include a new class with the next map to even everything to 4, either commando or heavy gunner. with some landmines. Just need the last 5 achievements, If I can get in a game, I should be able to get all of them except the 30 and 100 games played. I love the achievements. No bullsh*t and easy to get. BF 1943 is done on a game engine (Frostbite) that was designed for game console. Plus it's basically just a "mod" for Bad Company, which was an console game. WTF did you expect . Sniper rifles were the only fun thing to use in bad company as well as the knife, both now suck. They either have massive bullet drop or its not synced propperly. At least with 1942 you didn't get wall clipping. You always knew when someone was dead, especially if you flew low in a spitfire and decapitated them with your wings. I actually enjoyed the earlier games, with vietnam you had a radio which you could put your own music on, people would hear the music as you drove near them, or flew over them. It just lacked the atmosphere in my opinion. Then they did it right again with Battlefield Bad Company... though too much console focus. Can't wait to play this on PC... hopefully it'll have more content but I highly doubt it. Most developers these days don't care about PC versions anymore or developing PC games. They simply port it over and that's why the quality of most PC games lack. I liked Vietnam, I liked it ALOT, but that was only down to the theme. And that itself doesnt make the game good in all aspects. BF2 had its problems but I know that it is definately by far the best BF game ever and I know at least 40 people agree with me. I dont give a sh*t if 1942 was first, people wanked over it because it was the first. BF2 is way more advanced, it just lacked the originality, the only reason being is to be balanced, by all having near identicle sides for idea online battles. The firsts did have good things. Either way. BF2 is way more easy to play, less sluggish movement and shooting. Accurate and way more realistic. I bet if there was 1942 and Vietnam in the BF2 engine and gameplay features everyone would love those way more. Either way, the whole point I want any bf game on the consoles is because I dont have BF2 on consoles. Which Is all I want. By the way, if you hated bad company you will hate this, unless you get a massive boner over WW2 and the japanese. Buying this on the pc is completely redundant. The whole cool apeal is the fact that its a small cheap(ish) arcade game you can dl right onto the console and play at any time (not including this week) this is like saying " f*ck 2litre bottles of coca cola, im gunna wait for a 150ml can of rola cola that tastes like arse " What is the f*cking point, you will only be dissapointed. Earlier I spawned in a small building and there was an enemy tank one side, and a jeep on the other, both with people on the MG. Had quite a few like that, along with myself being able to sit in an enemy spawn area for a few kills, they were just spawning straight in front of me. I'm hoping this gets fixed, but I doubt it.
