norbi1988 Posted July 1, 2009 Share Posted July 1, 2009 (edited) After installing SP2 for Vista or BIOS for mobo I have to activate my game it's ok, but when I started the game it stops after R* logo. I Alt+Tab the game and I saw window with IV icon which says "The application is demanding the access to the protected element." This window wants me to enter the password. Sorry for my english. EDIT: I tried to enter my password (coz there was option to remember password) I click OK and password changing to longer password(not mine) and game won't start no respond from the game... It showedup me today so i decided to dl it, firstly when i saw it it's for dl it was 700MB, but when i started to dl it, it was 124MB...(maybe this is because I'v got all preavious updates and reduced Its space) My Computer says I got SP2 now. Xtreme Drift Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 hey dude i recently got this update for sp2 of vista um running ultimate tho don't know about you anywhoo um i updated it to sp2 and im running gta iv just fine it aint running in xp 2 or admin just normal the only thing im doing different is im using a patch for the latest which is 1.5 i think or whatever because i lost my cd somewhere at home but it still should work with the cd maybe its your specs don't know. but the reason why its small in size the sp2 is because its kinda like a beta lets say later on there realsing a bigger version which for us would be smaller cause we have download half for instense but try running it in xp 2 with admin on and see if it works. but do it for the "LaunchGtaIv.exe" in the C://Drive/programs etc hope this helps. I also tried Adnim only and still get Protected Storage window... EDIT: I disabled this Service (Protected Storage) and still the same...
