08LasVenturas
Midnight Club LA, which is also made by Rockstar, pulled off a really good depiction of Los Angeles aka Los Santos. However, if Rockstar were to make a new redesigned San Andreas, i doubt they'd redo a whole new L.A, if anything they'd just change the names and such, but this would garner low ratings and disapproval. So does Rockstar making L.A. for Midnight Club ruin the chances of a new San Andreas??
General Goose
I doubt it. LS and LA are, in a way, different, and LV and SF weren't covered.
Tyla
I wouldn't think so. I've played the Midnight Club LA game, and have the expansion pack with the expanded area's. Even with the expansion, it doesn't cover all of LA. If Rockstar did do San Andreas/Los Santos again, I would assume they would tailor it to the background of the main character, much like Midnight Club LA was originally set in the upscale Hollywood types of area's. 08LasVenturas
I havent heard of a Midnight Club Expansion pack.. what areas did they expand into?
Tyla
The South Central. I baught it but didn't play it much. I was more happy about getting a hold of the Buick Riviera and the Chevelle than anything else. While the ground they did cover was detailed, and accurate to say the least, it wasn't as large and diverse as the ghetto's portrayed in San Andreas. I think another unneeded visit to San Andreas or Vice city would garner more disapproval. Why do people even want another return to Vice or San Andreas when that's not very likely in the 1st place. Do you guys just ignore what R* has said about why they returned to LC for IV? 1st off they said they are 2 seperate cities 2nd off R* said III LC was just an East Coastish city while IV is more based around NY and 3rd they said they hit their mark with both Vice and San Andreas in terms of capturing the feel of the cities they copied so why in the hell would they need pr want to return to places they already think they got down pact? I would guess people want to see a return there for a couple of reasons. 1. In their head they have it programmed that the sucession of games goes from LC > VC > SA. After all that is how it went all the way back to GTA 1. People think the next logical step would be VC. 2. Secondly the graphical improvements are great on these next gen systems. GTA IV looks stunning and i think people get the idea of a really detailed VC with all the bells and whistles. While SA was a good lookin game i could only imagine what it would look like now. 3. As a whole I think american gamers from what i have seen are hesitant to see a game outside of the states. I myself would welcome it but i dont speak for everyone. So really how many different regions would really work in a GTA game.
ldee
Not at all. If one thing R* excels in it's redesigning something that seems to have already been done and turned stale. Look how fresh LC in IV is compared to III. They forgot III totally and redesigned basing from NYC itself. I'm sure they could do it a new Los Santos basing off Los Angeles even if it shares some similarities with Midnight Club's version of LA. I think a bigger concern would be LA Noire. Which is still expected to release this year though news have been really scarce. I'm not sure what genre it will be but if it's sandbox (and I'm guessing it is, yeah I know it's detective-work-themed) it will be interesting to see the depth and scope R* implements into a PS3 only sandbox LA based game. I can honestly say I'm quite hyped for LA Noire. I have a good feeling this will be a great hit.

I was wondering if they were going to have a different franchise take the place of GTA in a particular area. Noire made me think that initially. Thats so hard to say because there is nothing out there info wise. I am not sure if this has been heavily delayed or what. The last thing i heard was that Team Bondi was looking to expand their Animation Team to cope with the final production and that was posted 7/5/08. Not sure what to expect here but i am not counting on a 09 release with the extreme lack of info and the forth coming releases of other games like Red Dead & Max Payne 3 (which i think are 09 releases)

bobgtafan
First off I hated Midnight Club. Anyway I don't think they are going to go back to Vice City or San Andreas. The only reason they redid Liberty City is because they didn't do it well the first time. They prefected Vice and SA and don't see why they would need to go back. Also Scothmouth its really GTA1: LC(New York, New Jersey (this verison was closer in map layout to GTA4 Liberty City go toThis link and see), VC( Miami), SA(San Franisco), London, London GTA2:Anywhere City ( New York) GTA3:LC(New York, New Jersey),VC (Miami),SA (Cali.and Nevada), LC (New York, New Jersey), LC ( New York, New Jersey), VC (Miami) GTA4:LC and Alderney (New York and New Jersey) LC and Alderney (New York and New Jersey) LC and Alderney (New York and New Jersey) LC (New York) I see no pattern. Do you? All I see is that we've been to New York and New Jersey to much.
