Guest PenaltySender
I have Vice City on my PC,, and it's run perfectly before, but whenever I click gta-vc.exe, a dialog box pops up saying I need at least DirectX 8.1 or later, but I have DrectX 10 installed already! What's happening? radioman
Have you tried an Un-install/re-install? Also, have you tried making sure your DX version is up to date? If both are yes, than please post your system specs as mentioned by Wolf68k in the Pinned troubleshooting topic, here But updating DX should help, as I had a similar problem on my XP laptop with the Scarface game, but that is DX 9, and all I had to do was get the SA disc and install the DX 9.0c that comes with it and then the games worked fine. Hope this helps.
Guest PenaltySender
Yes, I have uninstalled aand re-installed it, and I have the latest version of DirectX available. OH, wait, never mind. Apparently, I forogt I had uninstalled DIrectX 10 because of issues with a previous game (that I have returned to GameStop), so I just installed it again, and it works fine! Never mind! (Well, actually, I didn't really uninstall it, I just went to a Restore Point.) Edited July 1, 2009 by PenaltySender
