The horror!

It's really just splitting hairs at this point, but I find Apocalypse Now to be ever so slightly the greater masterpiece, but it really hurts to vote against either one.

I think I jumped the gun, voted for ACO then decided to post in the morning, but now that I've had more time to think about it - move my vote over to Apocalypse Now. If it makes a difference.

It's an amazing spectacle which keeps me on the edge of the seat without having to use car chases and all that. Wonderfully made film, wonderfully acted.

Anyways, this is a bit random but; I always used to think in

Misfits song he says "In the eyes of Saigon", referencing to AN. I looked up the lyrics and apparently he says "Tiger."

Disappointing.

edit: Disregard that Misfits thing, I just check and the song was made a year before AN even came out. Nevermind.

Never really rated Clockwork to be honest. So Apocalypse Now it is

Yeah, quite easy. Apocalypse now takes my vote this time.

Apocalypse Now is a great great movie, but I go with Clockwork Orange... that movie mesmerizes me, something about Kubrick's films... something in all of them in spite of them being all so different, something in them just moves me.

It was around the first stare Martin Sheen delivers to the lens during a debriefing scene that really topped off one of the more memorable movie openings I can (er) remember and really hit home to me - I was about to watch something pretty darn good. It was plain sailing from there.
