Slamman
Coming up among the tours, who's going? I can't obviously, but I WILL want to hear your experience of the one and only UFO. Looking up some reviews of the VISITOR LP/CD, I noticed they are set to play there in August of 09. Here's a site info page; http://hardrockheavymetal.wordpress.com/20...r-due-june-2nd/ I am a metal and Hard Rock fan so to see veterans like these guys on the bill, reminds me of MetalFest 1995. UFO was just reformed with Michael Schenker on guitar for that tour which was short lived, but a masterful album Walk On Water... Still impressive as Hell. Metalfest had a very good set of two days and two stages worth of brutal metal and UFO were the odd band out but gave a packed autograph signing between floors of the venue. Waiting, however, we missed bands' short sets though. Between stages one missed bands perform as well. I like the outdoor, daytime aspect. That was the case for Clash of the Titans here with Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer (Alice in Chains opened). The show was mostly all day, little if any of it during the night. The Wacken shows are a staple in the metal world. It's good to see the various World concert events continue year after year, have to say Edited June 30, 2009 by Slamman
Mister Pink
Are you going? All my mates are goin again this year. I swear they wont go anywhere else. So if you see a bunch of drugged up and drunk Irish c*nts avoid them at all costs. There's about 20 of them. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
Slamman
I won't but I suspect some of the GTAF members have access and like to "bang head"! I wanna hear a report, however, I'm sure various metal shows get mention in the metal thread as well. We have UFO appearing in the USA here in October, they've gotten weekly listing in the free press for some time now, I've been in constant fear they would cancel again, though not likely with Vinnie Moore and not Herr Schenker. If you look at the link, Pete Way's been having medical issues that prohibit him from joining, and I inquired for an update, I hope he gets well enough to play! He's an anchor for the band but he's abused as much drugs as Ozzy and Sabbath, and Zeppelin combined! Hope he pulls through! He'd be able to play the UK without a Visa
