trickstar34
This mod allows you to explore Liberty City in San Andreas. In future versions I will try to make parts of it solid, but for now, I will leave it to you to explore how Rockstar made it. You can enter Liberty City by entering the sphere at Verdant Meadows. To go back enter the sphere at Saint Mark's. You can enter inside a vehicle by entering the sphere with a vehicle. However, I must warn you the aircraft's will be invisible. Aircraft's cannot be exited if entered with nor flied unless you use a hacked exe getting rid of aircraft and jet pack limits. Road vehicles are supported, however. I just found that aircrafts are not exitable still but they are not invisible, you can exit if you use a moddified exe. I may release one both versions of the exe's with this limit removed so you can fly jet pack and aircraft's. v1.1: This version allows transporting back and forth with a jet pack on. However as I said earlier, you can't use it to fly without a moddified exe that you can download off my website. I have permission from listener to post the modified version of his compact exe on my website, so here it is. You may now fly in LC! Download: http://www.grandtheftauto-gaming.com/downl...sa/v1_limit.zip (with the help of nerner) Don't try to to move a lot or else you will end up here. Just stick around Saint Mark's and you will be OK. Screenshots: Edited July 1, 2009 by trickstar34
Dutchy3010
So if I understand it right, it is just going to and come back from Liberty City by using a sphere? Nothing else? DYOM - Create, play, share!
nerner
Yeah, I agree with Dutchy, I would like to see more parts of LC solid, so you can come and go, without too much hassle, and without falling into interior hell.
trickstar34
I'm working on it, I have a slight road solid, but that is it for now, I see me having at least 3 roads done by the end of 2 weeks. As I said in the description I am working on making things solid, I see almost recreating Portland Island (except Callahan Bridge) by the time I am done. You can't expect me to do everything right away with just CLEO, I have to add roads and things just by CLEO, I also have support for vehicles and other things, I will release a new version everytime I build a new solid road. nkjellman
I used a mod that made LC solid but when you would go away from the Bestro It looked like sh*t because things where made to be seen from far away. Are you going to make the models made to be seen up close?
trickstar34
Eventually, I need to find a good, free modelling program. Or I will have to moddify the textures to make them more HD.
Dutchy3010
I think the argument "You can't expect me to finish it all" is strange. Everyone has to work for their mods before they release it. For example: before we released DYOM, we worked a few months every night for hours. You can't release the simplest part of the mod, with still nothing of the most difficult part, imo... But well, if you finish this mod, it would be great. DYOM - Create, play, share!
trickstar34
I'm working on it now. I'll post a mirror to show what I have completed because I don't think its enough to put on GTAGarage Edit: it's starting to look unlikely because I can't find any road segments, just road itself with turns and things for specific areas, so I will continue to try but it wont be in CLEO, I will be trying to make colfiles. nerner
Steve-m has a good colfile editor if you are interested in that. And thanks for crediting me on my method for removing the jetpack height limits. Credit is like a tennis ball, it goes back and forth between people...
trickstar34
I think I know what else I can do, I can make my own model for a small road segment then place them slightly out of place below the LC roads.
coin-god
I think it would be easier to get 3D MAX, import the whole LC in it. And start making the cols.
james227uk
Sound cool. Although there isn't really much to explore. Rockstar mainly created the Bistro because the player is never meant to freeroam. BTW in your picture "where you end up" it's called oblivion.
trickstar34
If you download that executable I included in the post, you can fly the jet pack anywhere in that interior, and that oblivion as you call it is an invisible version of the main world in the "0" interior in which you normally free roam, swim somewhere, the map will shift respectively, and eventually you will run into land that is normally there in the original world, however there obviously is no traffic. @goin-god I can't just port all of Liberty, there is a sh*tload of files for it even though they aren't solid. trickstar34
It's the Liberty City from Saint Marks Bistro mission. For now you can only explore how Rockstar had it, but I'm working on making things solid. This is going to be a map mod when I'm done.
