ripple
I am seeing 'flickering' sky when I am at the pier at Castle Garden. It's not 'game breaking' since the sky looks fine everywhere else. Anyone else experience this? Edited July 30, 2012 by ripple

robi29
I don't have this bug. It's don't bug of Visual, because Visual don't replace files of map. Look: I am seeing 'flickering' sky when I am at the pier at Castle Garden. It's not 'game breaking' since the sky looks fine everywhere else. Anyone else experience this? No, I don't. Maybe this is bug of ENB, if you have it of course. only happens in some angles This seems to be a mistake to ENB. Today I will release version 1.7.9. Arctic77
This seems to be a mistake to ENB. I'm not using enb, only a fresh install of gta iv 1.0.4.0, visualiv, simple native trainer and injected fxaa so, bloom bug still in 1.7.9 but only in foggy weather

Limiter
I heard that some people mod timecyc along with VisualIV. Like IV:SA mod. How does that work? Isn't visualIV already a timecyc mod, meaning no need to mod on top of visualIV? Or is it such that VisualIV is a mod with no timecyc affiliation? I asked this in EditIV thread but it may seem that an answer here may be worth the while since this has something to do with VisualIV.

Snaky115
PC Specs and in-game settings Kenway? Also make sure to defragment GTA IV folder or maybe even the whole disk, i use UltraDefrag in boot-defrag mode, worked wonders for me. Standard defrag in windows enviroment is quite slow. nkjellman
Hey I got an idea for the mod. An add on that uses ENB Series WITH ORIGINAL LIGHTING ENABLED. I bolded that as some may say ENB requires a lot of extra optimization. However with original lighting, you keep the original lighting from the original mod but you gain the ability to have a more realistic looking sky, and better looking reflections. However, there may be some minor changes that would have to be made to the timecyc, I think the current lighting created with Rage resources, an much more realistic sky, and improved vehicle reflections would look even better. These effects, it doesn't matter what map it is, as it only applies to the sky and vehicle reflections. The effects we want work on the new patches too. I just think that the Rage resource sky looks too flat, and on the PC if you look closely, the Rage native vehicle reflections show the vehicle polygons. However I would make it as an add on, and not make it an essential. What do you think? Do you think you may try it? You could call it the Realistic Sky and Vehicle Reflections add on. Snaky115
He meant the lighting Visual IV uses (i think), but with other effects from ENB. Would be interesting, I really dig Visual IV's lighting. Edited August 27, 2012 by Snaky115

That's called early ENB versions. They have few corrections & works on every patches. Many people did it times ago, I remember vava720 doing this for example. MeGusta90
How do I download 1.7.8 if it's only a Timecyc?
omenz321
Can you guys help me please? I was running the latest v7.1 with GTA IV EFLC -steam version. Now it says I can't join servers with mods. I uninstalled the game, re downloaded it, I couldn't believe that visual iv was the problem, i thought it was something else. Is there any way I can get it back, I've tried previous versions but it has just stopped allowing me to play in non trainer servers as I'm in the "modders pool". I really don't like the graphics much without visual iv! How can I fix this? I've tried verifying it with steam, but it just shows up the files aren't genuine, 20 something, and replaces them with the normal ones. I honestly can't be the only one? Surely it must have been a steam update or something of that nature that triggered this occurrence? I didn't change anything to cause this. Thank You

XXLpeanuts
QUOTE (MeGusta90 @ Monday, Mar 18 2013, 22:53) How do I download 1.7.8 if it's only a Timecyc? Simple. Download the timecyc. Hmmm you are not very helpful, i would also like to know how to download and install this mod, i had previous versions and they were a whole lot of files, i cant believe its just one timecyc file now, and even if it is why has the author not made that obvious and given a readme and generall explained how it could possibly be the same mod? Thank you all friends. 1040 is definitely better for fps. and OP i'd like to ask you something, what line in which file do i have to change to make shadows disappear at night? For example from 7pm to 7am, or if i want them to disappear when foggy/rainy. Is it in timecyc? I think this mod uses it, but i really wanna know where is that line, i wanna try to change it myself. _CP_
Try to edit timecycle in EditIV and change Direct Color Multiply value to 0 for these hours.
