Download from here (mediafire) Latest Changelog/Fix ============= - Some stability fixes and fixes to missions - Cruise control only for normal vehicles (not bikes) - Additional mode: Elimination (kill a single target) Installation ============ 1) Make sure you have GTAIV patched to at least 1.0.4.0, else it might not work. 2) Download any asi file loader into your GTAIV directory 3) Remove any previous versions of this mod that you might have installed 3) Extract Scripthook.dll and nsq_13.asi into your GTAIV directory 4) Enjoy the game! What does it do? ================ GTAIV is a great game: a living breathing city with realistic physics and amazing AI. However, outside of the missions, there aren't really that many interesting things to do (except going out on YET ANOTHER annoying date)... so I've decided to add additional single-player sidemissions to the game that are short and repeatable. Features so far: - Added a mercenary system where you can recruit a buddy from among 12 possible characters. Some of the rest will randomly show up to disrupt your sidemissions: after all, Niko isn't the only badass in Libery City! - Random side missions: so far there are several possible types of missions, all randomly done (assassination, VIP defence, escort services, item/car theft, gang elimination, prisoner breakout, illegal street races, target elimination and a fight club). An NPC wandering around nearby will provide the missions when asked for. - Added a Rage meter: as you beat people up, it adds to your Rage (shown on the lower left as an additional HUD item). You can press TAB at any time and Niko will go into a bullet time mode where his health rapidly regenerates. - Added taxi missions. I have no idea why Rockstar removed these. So I added it back. Just press use (default 'E') to start one when you're driving any taxi. - You can now board the bus for $5. Again, just press use (default 'E'). - Cruise control can now be activated by pressing CROUCH while driving. Controls ======== The keys are mapped to your GTAIV key config in the game, except for the TAB key triggering bullet time mode. If you change your key config, the help messages and triggering keys will be changed accordingly. Legal Disclaimer & Copyrights ============================= This mod is provided as-is, so please don't send me any angry messages if it crashes your game! I've done my best with extensive testing and a few rounds of code cleanups. No part of the mod should be used elsewhere without written permission, and this mod is released as freeware. I have in my trainer ingame playing taxi missions mod museum and bank robbery its script is not try removing the other mods one by one, maybe there's a conflict somewhere? thanks for all the positive responses guys, suggestions for improvement are always welcome! as for the taxi mission, i agree that it's kinda rough at the moment, will see what I can do for the next update. I like it already, haven't tried everything yet, but the races and taxi missions were fun to do. I liked it when I picked up a criminal and had to loose wanted level. HippieCommunist Posted June 16, 2009 Share Posted June 16, 2009 dude! its like 165kb of god's work! amazing job! i abused it abit and its pretty solid only crashed when i had to kill a gangster (who was shown before i began ) from like 8 others. i killed him and a message showed 'Gangster escaped' then boom but i think its pretty rare oh and other time i had a secret documents car in the subway i had to steal ^_^ was pretty funny... if only you could make the mission givers to stop to talk to niko before he gets more briefing on the phone rather then just keep walking forward ignoring me (rly no biggy) i like it that its challenging, really well done, nice ideas please fix this only bug to prevent crashing, this is like a major step forward! HippieCommunist Posted June 16, 2009 Share Posted June 16, 2009 ok played if for a while, no crashes only the body count started going negative a few times and why in any mission's end the wanted level is clear even if you failed? i take it youre not planing on making an ini... coz in the game when you fail a mission the wanted level stays... any thoughts on that? It is easily reproducable: I start in midtown safehouse, and teleport to pigeon number one on the teleport menu of that trainer, and the game crashes before niko hits the ground so to speak. If I leave your mod out of the GTAIV directory, I can teleport without any problems. Maybe there is something going on regarding distance of the peds that you spawn to provide races and jobs, I know it is far fetched, but I can reproduce this each and every time. I did not notice this with the first version of the mod, but just redownloaded your mod, when the first crash occured. Sure, if it helps, the only thing that the trainer is doing is setcharcoordinates. In any case it would help if you provided a enable/disable key, or better a ability to start with the mod disabled through an ini file.
