I liked London Fletcher's response to the situation. He is a true leader to step out and say that. Haynesworth is probably the saddest case I have seen. Dude is scandalous and doesn't deserve to even be in the NFL right now. The most overrated player in history. (If you go by salary.)

 

I also didn't like that Revis had a "hamstring injury" and sat out practice but later said he was "serious" about his negotiation talks and he could sit out. sh*t is pathetic. Now players are faking injuries because they don't have the right contract? Straight bullsh*t. Jets are stupid enough not to pay the man as the best corner, as he is the best corner.

 

Look at the way Calvin Johnson is built, between 6'3''-6'5'' and 230? That is something terrible to guard. But I do remember being a fan of Mike Williams, USC receiver a couple years ago, tried to leave as a Sophmore (along with Clarett) and it just didn't work for him after that. The guy was listed at 6'5'' 235. It was special watchin' dude in College, but sh*t just don't pan out that way. Steve Smith is a little guy, and is one of the more electric receivers in the game.

I'm pretty pumped about the Cowboys' WR group this year. Austin had his welcome-to-the-world party last season and Dez Bryant is a great prospect. That's a deadly duo for Romo to target for the rest of his career. It's a shame that their offensive line is in shambles. They might make the playoffs, but it's an early exit because they lack quality depth across both trenches. If Ratliff goes down they're F'd. They also have no starting quality safeties. Alan Ball is a really bad joke that you laugh at because of how feeble of an attempt it was to be what it's supposed to be.

My Philadelphia Eagles are going to put quiet a show this year. I can't wait to see how they do. They have talented scattered all over offense, defense, and special teams. Our receiving corp is one of the best in the NFL with Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, Brent Celek, and hopefully either Riley Cooper or Hank Baskett. I can't wait to see how Kevin Kolb does this season. Shady and Weaver and the addition of Mike Bell will make our backfield dangerous. Jason Peters is one of the best OT in the league. Our O-line is still a major question mark and id like to see how Nick Cole does as a center.

On defense we have unstoppable Trent Cole and one of the league's best corners in Asante Samuel. We have Stewart Bradley coming back and we brought in tackle monster Ernie Sims. Mike Patterson is one of the better defensive tackles in the league. Hopefully we'll get Brandon Graham and Nate Allen under contract. Our defense has the potential to become a mirror image of our early 90's gang green defense.

A lot of people are predicting the Eagles to sink to the bottom of the NFC East and miss the playoffs. I don't see that happening. We have enough talent on every side of the ball to make it deep in the playoffs and hopefully win a Super Bowl. Expect to see this Eagles team blossom in the years to come.

There's no reason he Eagles should cut Michael Vick. Last year was his re-entry to the NFL and despite the fact that he didn't play for 2 years his performance on the field was pretty good. People who watched Vick in the Eagls OTA's said his blazing speed is back and he throws a lot better. I believe Mike Vick can help make big plays and get us deep into the playoffs.

That's what I was thinking. Vick is an amazing athelete, and even though he made some bad decisions he has come back and played well. He would have done even better if the Eagles would actually have let him shine. As a lifetime Cowboys fan I would love for Eagles to give up some talent like Vick. There are a lot of teams that would love to have the speed and throwing power of Mike Vick.

Only do it if he land himself into even more trouble, but if he keeps his nose clean, and can still produce, keep him around. Because he's one injury from being Philly's best option at QB.

on the Topic of Madden 11, in my opinion if you were planning on starting an online franchise i would wait till Madden 12 cause EA Sports has come out and said that they havent changed up Online Franchise or Offline franchise other than the presentation. So its still clunky as Madden 10 but they did say that Madden 12 will be devoted to upgrading the two Franchise modes... (then again it seems like the Madden Dev team have gotten lazier and lazier since they got the NFL rights).

Aside from the countless kick returns for touchdowns last year, I don't have many complaints about how on-line worked out.

 

We just put our Madden10 league to bed after like 8 seasons. It was a small league with only a handful of people from my job, but it was a blast. We only stopped the league since Madden11 will be out soon.

 

Holy crap - FOOTBALL SEASON IS CLOSE!!!! Today is the day my wife put the this year's schedule up on the fridge. Camp starts tomorrow and the first pre-season game is in like 3 weeks.

TO agrees to sign with Cincinnati Bengals

 

This will be interesting. TO fits with the offense and will definitely help the Bengals offense, as well. He has been working with Bengals quarterback, Carson Palmer, during the offseason and both Palmer and Chad Johnson had supported the acquisition. Cincinnati signed Antonio Bryant to a four-year contract earlier this offseason, but we'll likely see him land on the PUP list because of a knee injury that has sidelined him from practice this summer. This definitely gives them enough receivers; Johnson, Owens and Bryant can play (to what degree, we won't know) after six weeks of the season.

 

The huddle will be the most interesting thing, though. I'm not even a Bengals fan, but I'm kinda looking forward to their team this season.

I just played the Madden 11 demo and although it was almost the same as 10 there were some improvements. I just need to get used the new d-pad audible.

 

I'm still wondering why Sam Bradford is rated an 80 and Kevin Kolb is only a 75. I mean I know Bradford was the first overall pick and all but c'mon the kid didn't even play yet and he's coming off an injury plagued senior year. Kolb should at least be an 80 in my opinion.

yeah the ratings always suck. for instance Seahawks RB Justin Forsett had 5.4 ypc and almost as much yards as Julius Jones with 50+ less carries yet Forsett is four points lower than Jones.

League, that will make 3 and the pick 'em league. I don't wanna get too overwhelmed like I have in the past. (That year I did win all 3 leagues I was a part of and took 2nd in the pick 'em league.)

I too have a PM into him.

 

Even though I only have one year of history in the league I really want to continue since I didn't do too bad.

 

 

Also: Loving TO being on the Bengals with Chad Johnson. I can't see why the Cincinnati fans seem to be happy about it. I can't see it playing out well. The media might be listing TO as an older player, but I can't see him accepting that. For some strange ass reason I like Ocho and respect his humble yet craziness way. TO is just plain crazy. I sense a TO meltdown.

So close to Texans training camp, just found out our second round pick Ben Tate just signed. Now Kareem Jackson is the only one left, and the 19th overall pick (Kareem was 20th) just signed so hopefully Kareem won't miss any TC. We need him to practice all he can, his first game is against Peyton manning and Reggie Wayne, I have high hopes but that is a hard first matchup.

 

To date, Brian Cushing is the only draft pick to miss some TC under Rick Smith. Rick Smith is a great general manager. There is a split among Texans fans about whether Gary Kubiak is a good coach or not, but I think every Texans fan agrees that Rick is just great.
