I don't get it, Damarcus Ware LB for the Cowboys almost breaks his neck last Sunday. He doesn't practice Wednesday, Thursday or Friday but somehow the doctors clear him to play on Saturday?

 

I'm still proud of the my Saints, down by 7 points and nearly tied it up last night. sh*t going 13 & 0 how many other teams can say they've done that.

Today on CBS Pre-Game show they asked the fans who is the best receiver in the NFL. Well it ended up being like 55% Brandon Marshall, 24% Andre and 21% Fitzy. This is just ludicrous to me, Andre Johnson is beating him in every conceivable stat except longest catch(which is kind of a moot point) and touchdowns, 9 to Johnson's 8 this year.

Not to take away from Brandon Marshall and his 21 catch game and his good year this year, but how does one game suddenly vault Brandon above Andre it makes no sense to me.

I know I am drinking the Kool-Aid but Andre Johnson is on the verge of matching Jerry Rice in the consecutive leading the NFL record. To add to that is the 13-10 catch 100 yard games that he has, but, I digress I had to get this frustration off my chest.

 

Further proof of his awesomeness, "This statistic blows me away: Since the merger in 1970, Jerry Rice leads all receivers with 15 games in which he had at least 10 catches and 100 yards. Rice played in 303 games and is acknowledged as the greatest receiver in NFL history.

 

In second place, one game behind Rice, is another receiver destined for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Marvin Harrison had 14 games with at least 10 catches and 100 yards. He played in 190 games.

 

Tied for third with 13 is Tim Brown, another receiver who'll be enshrined in Canton, Ohio. He played in 255 games.

 

Can you guess who is tied with Brown for third on the all-time list? Yep, Andre Johnson. And he's played in just 99 games."

Everyone chose Marshall because Orton is his bitch and only likes to throw him the ball. He had that one game where he set the record but only put up 200 yards and averaged 9.5 yards per catch or something, thats nothing. I think he's a great receiver but no where near the skill level that Johnson is at.

 

But those stats are really interesting Xboxless thanks for that.

Yeah but Schaub is a very good QB while Kyle Orton is Kyle Orton. I'm not saying one's better than the other, but the numbers would probably be a lot different if they switched quarterbacks for a season. In my mind their talent levels are pretty much identical, they're both amazing.

DeShawn Jackson of the Eagles should be considered as one of the best Wideouts as well. He may not be on the level of Fitzgerald, Ochocinco, Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, or Marshall yet but he's a stud.

 

Im so pissed at my Broncos right now. How could we not beat the Raiders at home last week. Now are playoff chances are very slim. I shouldn't have expected anything else from Denver. They start 6-0 and then go 2-8 the next 10 games.

I think they should just put demarcus ware at DE, he lines up half the time as a de, why is he considered a LB?

 

Oh and yes, Desean Jackson is a stud, I wouldn't exactly say he is a true "possession" receiver, but he is like a super Wes Welker, haha. Desean is beast and I love it.

Born and bread Eagles fan here and I can tell you we are loving DeShawn Jackson. It's only his second year in the league, so he has the potential to be just as good or better then any of the current A List receivers. He also matured out of his collage ways pretty quick. He could have went down the wrong road of cockiness, but I think that first cocky display that failed what would have been his first NFL touchdown humbled him a bit.

 

The Eagles have a bad practice of raising good players then not being able to pay for them. We might actually see DeShawn here for a bit since his negotiations will most likely happen around the same time we have to stop paying for people like Westbrook and even Mcnabb.

 

We are the only stadium that has a built in court room, and last week they had to make announcements that it was open when the snowballs started flying . We will never learn and they well never learn to remove every flake of snow before the game.

Can my team pull a playoff win out of their ass? I was extremely surprised when the Boys beats the Saints. It was like my I was watching a different team. I'm gonna be extremely optimistic and say G Bay at The Boys for NFC championship. Don't know how grounded in reality that thought is lol.

Amazingly enough, it seems the defense is the culprit. Excluding the Denver and Carolina game, the Giants always put up a fair amount of points.

 

Example: The Giants' loss against the Eagles. Manning helped put up 38 points, yet they lost 45-38. Imagine how mad Manning was after that game, putting up 38 points and losing.

 

They even put up 27 or 28 (can't remember) points against the Saints back in week 6, yet lost. The Cowgirls only had to put up 24 points to beat the Saints, and Tampa Bay only needed 20.

 

All I have to say is, this season as a Giants fan is the most painful thing I've had to endure in football.

 

On another note, let's start guessing who will be in the Super Bowl and win. My guess: Eagles vs Chargers, with a narrow victory by the Chargers.

Oh dude, I may be the only Giants fan/New Yorker who doesn't mind the Eagles. I just don't like them when we're playing them or when their fans start acting like complete assholes. I know 20+ Eagles fans, and they're stuck up. They're also Phillies fans so they make it hard to like them as well. You'll get your ring. I'm actually still pondering how the Eagles have never won a Super Bowl because of how good they are. And I have a weird feeling they'll go all the way this year.

 

Yeah, my Super Bowl prediction is Eagles vs. Chargers or Eagles vs. Colts. I don't think Minnesota or New Orleans will make it. They seem to be slipping these past few games, as if their success has gotten to them, and it seems Favre is having some trouble with his coach.

 

My unlikely-ish Super Bowl would be Eagles or Green Bay vs. Jets (if they beat Cincinnati).

And I'm starting to become more tolerable towards Pats fans after being around so many Steelers and Cowboys fans, who are among the most stuck up fans in the entire sports world.
