In 2011, a great crisis befell the world. Vladimir Putin was embroiled in several corrupt, embezzling schemes hatched by him and the cabinet. After the pandemonium that followed, civil war broke out after an attempted coup spearheaded by Ivan Zharov. Although the coup was unsuccessful, it ignited riots and caused the people to rise up. Vladimir Putin went missing; presumed dead in the riots of Moscow. With the tension rising and the people having taken revenge upon the regime, a new power rose from the ashes: Novaya Russia, a czarist revolutionary faction which quickly took command of Russia, returning it to the White Army days. Zharov, a communist and former ally of Gregor Ushi (the leader and now Czar of Russia) felt betrayed after the rise of power. And so, he gathered all those supportive of him, and fleeing from the traitorous enemy, they resorted to terrorist and underground tactics. The board was set.

Zharov knew attacking straight was foolish, as Gregor controlled the majority of the military. So Zharov did a master play; and invested his full support with the radical, down trodden states, and financing and arming them, he used the pawns to fuel his war effort. By 2012, war had begun between North and South Korea, all caused directly by Ivan. With a NATO and Novaya Russian task force on the way, Zharov then planned and executed several devastating coups in the Middle East, causing a major distraction as his now much larger army attacked Russia. The war had begun. By late 2012, the terrorist cells had began to stir, and through Ivans influence, guerilla warfare broke out in South America. With Europe at threat, the world at war on three different fronts the the potential for more and more casulties, it would only be a matter of time before alliances and enemies were made.

The only question is: Who will you lead to victory?

Okay, this is a BUYG-esque game set in the not-too-distant future(2011-2025 AD). You join an army and write stories about your life in that army during World War III. The stories will be rated by the staff and the money is placed in the army's treasury. The money is used to buy weapons for your army and you can use them in stories.

The staff consists of

Osric

Ziggy455

El Zilcho

Rucke

Jean Capel

RULES

1. No flaming. If you don't like it, don't flame others. Everyone is at different levels of writing ability. We don't judge.

2. Respect all forum rules.

3. You cannot use weapons in your stories if your army doesn't own it

4. Any questions can be sent to any of the moderating team via PM

5. We will add a new faction every so often, usually when one is fully occupied

6. Stories cannot be in script format. Quality and length will play major roles in rating.

7. There are bonuses for a higher story count.

8. The basic story outline must be followed; after that, it's all up to you.

RULE 3 - We are lenient on this one, but still, you can't use ridiculous weapony just yet. Should you use a weapon momentarily or only once, that is fine. But recurring use of a weapon you don't own is not.

RULE 7 - Do not abuse this. Spamming terrible, rushed stories will not be accepted, nor will bonus' be handed out.

Every five stories earns a bonus $100

Every ten stories earns a free weapon under $400

Twenty stories total awards a free vehicle under $2000(VEHICLES COMING SOON!)

Hooray!

We're up and running. A little busy with several things right now, but needless to say I'm overjoyed we're ready for action. Thanks a lot to Oscric, he's done a smashing job. And cheers to all who put up with the annoying hype. tounge.gif Enjoy...

Build Up Your Army
Ok, excuse my stupidity, but how does one play? Just make a story?

Yes, you're free to sign up, and post straight away. I would also like to point out that positions for moderators on the team are available.

Oscric, you've been added.

Build Up Your Army

Oh yes, almost forgot. I'll update the first post too;

You can write for two factions. This is because, in order to get collaborations and working storylines, more activity and even story tie ins would be engineered through the two faction idea. So, if you want some complicated sub plots and crossovers, you can still keep it within your own work if that's what you want. I'll see how it goes; if the two faction idea is a success, it'll be here to stay.

PS: Thanks flicko. icon14.gif

I'll begin writing my Novaya Russia stories either tonight or tomorrow. For now I will stay in Novaya Russia and maybe join NATO later. Right now, I want to focus more on my Russia stories.

Anybody who wants to join the staff can PM me or El Zilcho. Glad to know you guys are joining. Don't worry Chunk, the IRA will be added soon.

My stories will revolve around the Zharov Party first and foremost, later on I may join NATO. The reason Brazil is in there is it will be the first country to become embroiled the WWIII, as it will also spread to South America. I've got to update the first post too.

Omnia sunt Communia

Why does it say "Gang Member" underneath the faction's name? Since when was NATO, China, Israel etc. a gang? tounge.gif Also a Kukri and "Gurkha Blade" are the same thing, plus I don't see why the Iraeli army would wield them, they're generally considered a Nepalese weapon.

The People's Republic of China don't use Heckler & Koch G36s, as far as I'm aware, their standard assault rifle in the QBZ-95. Novaya Russia would probably use the AK-74M, as it is the standard rifle for the Russian Federation Ground Forces. You also mispelt the Galil Rifle, you missed out the L at the end.

I'll get on the gang member issue straight away! As for Khukri and Ghurka Blade, I didn't do the weapons, but I thought they were separate. I'll have a quick look.

I thought the Gurkha and Kukri were seperate. Sorry. I changed Ghurka to Switchblade, addressed the gang issue, and added the l to Galil Rifle, and I think we're good. Who knows, give it a chance, you might like it! I'm sure you'll find a faction you'll like.

I'll join NATO. Guess I'll have a story tomorrow.

What role can we play? General? Regular soldier? Spy?

Whatever you want. Remember, you don't have to stick to the same character. If you want, you could even go for a third person story. It's up to you, I'd recommend a grunt as the action and story can be balanced more.

Kinko Kabuki Koshi KaPOW~!

I'm up for being a moderator, I guess. Seeing as I have a hella lot of spare time on my hands. colgate.gif

Also, put me down for NATO.

The Unvirginiser
Silly Uv. Update Solomon's City and we'll forget about it. colgate.gif

F*ck that, The Master is where it's at.

Anyway, how will this work? Do you get $2,500 of the 5 G's? Because I know the stuff I need and you know the stuff you need, so we don't want to be speding each other's money. And whatever we both get for our individual stories can only be spent by ourselves... cool?

So if I get $1000 for a story, you can't spend $800 of it, when I'm saving up for something and vica versa.

The Unvirginiser
Deal. But Solomon's City cryani.gif

Less of the spam please, all beggings belong in The Social Club. whatsthat.gif

So this outline of the stories... do we decide that between us or what? I'm quite game for posting away so I'd like the specifics.
