This film is written and directed by Shane Acker and features the voice talents of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Christopher Plummer, and Martin Landau. 9 is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of extinction and a group of rag doll like creatures hold the key to the survival of their race as well as the human race. Surprisingly this dark animated feature actually got slapped with a PG-13 rating, which makes it all that much more intriguing that it might be a mature animated feature and not a kids movie. Has anyone else heard of this? Apparently a trailer was released on Christmas Day last year but this is the first I've heard of it and I'm quite interested in it.
