Didnt RTS close their doors and scrap the APB servers? sh*t i didnt realise K2 bought the game rights and renamed it to APB Reloaded No info on an open beta but only 5000 were invited to the closed beta... i was actually a part of an APB clan called the San Paro Sheriff's Department... I was one of the Internal Affairs Sergeants at one point... a good group of people those were... i unfortunatly didnt have a PC that could run APB nor did i have the money to get one. Haha, don't you mean War Rock. I quit the game like 6 days later. It was boring as f*ck. Anyways I saw some gameplay of the reloaded beta and it seems pretty good. Character customization is supposed to be better and that's a start. But this whole F2P thing is just stupid... I could imagine the griefing we'll see on Reloaded. OysterBarron Posted August 2, 2011 Share Posted August 2, 2011 Is anyone still playong this ive got addicted. apb seems better in a free to play model and it seems you have to pick the right graphics settings for your system but its playable at 35fps. i payed ten pounds to upgrade to premium using my phone much simpler method of paying. Couldn't stand the driving at all, ruined the whole game for me. It's a shame, because everything else about it was fun. The customization on everything is fantastic. I've got it completely maxed out and I haven't dropped below 60FPS. I agree with Luke on the driving, though; just completely ruins the whole game. Like I said, if they fix the driving physics, I'd be all over it. As it stands currently, though, I have a hard time getting interested. I've been playing for a while now, and it's an absolute blast when you play with some good friends using TeamSpeak or the like. Huge advantage being able to communicate with each other in such a fashion. I agree about the driving physics, and was a bit worried when I heard they were planning a racing district. I don't mind the very slight delay in controls at all, I just hate my car sliding all over the f*cking place on dry tarmac. What world is your character on, Az? OysterBarron Posted August 3, 2011 Share Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) Yeah hopeully it is still in beta and they sort out the drivong a bit more before lanuch. me and midzark have been playing it together weve even got our own ahem legit removal company lol for robbing shops. me and midzark are on the eu patriot server 2 if i remember correctly. my favorite thing i like doing is robbing shops with my van going back to a drop off location and seeing a noob unloading his van that he doesnt own. you can unload his van or just drive off in his van nicking all his loaded goods. i tell ya theres no honour amongst theives. p.s im on the bad guys side and my name is obarron. acording to the /fps feature it uses just over 2.2gb of 4gb system as far as im aware the specs are the same but im pretty sure once i found the right settings for my laptop the game is 90 percent more playble than previously when ot was with realtime worlds. Aye I remember it being mentioned on the specs that it needed 4GB RAM. Now I play PC games, but I'm rolling with a 2GB 5 year old PC now. Yeah andy check out the gamersfirst website you can go premium that allows you more than 7 layers of graphics on vechels so im assuming it must be an open beta now but im not sure. As far as im aware its free to play all the time beta/when it goes gold, with the option to upgrade tp premium through the months if you want to, gives you a 30% increase in mission rewards plus if you buy another month of premium while premium the price of the membership is 25% reduced or something like that. Say for your average mission with 5 teammates against 5 teammates, you used to get around $2,000 average. Just to give you an idea. They nerfed it so that non-premiums will only get like 1200 instead, and premiums automatically get a bonus of like $500. It's pretty sh*t. OysterBarron Posted August 3, 2011 Share Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) My main way of making money is making sure i have 4 star notireity and going out on robbing runs, You get almost 2 times the ammount of money for each item than you would from just having normall notriety. I do a few runs till i have a nice amount saved up then i go and launder the money to recieve it in my account, the only thing you have to watch out for is police while your robbing because if they come after and kill you with a 7000grand pot then its a bit gutting! but once youve succesfully done this a few times you will start racking up money, ive only played 42 hours now and am sitting on a cool 160k.
