.Rafto
You can spawn a helicopter using the CheatDevice or you can waste your time and try getting hold of a helicopter during certain missions. The names of the missions are: Calm Before The Storm: You track Massimo Torini while he flies a helicopter. There is a way to get hold of the helicopter but I won't post it here since I haven't done it myself, I've only read a post which tells you how. False Idols: Again,l there is an ''Idol" flying in a helicopter and you have to shoot it down before it reaches it's destination. I'm not sure if you can hold of the helicopter in this mission but at least a helicopter appears in this missions. *I forgot the name*: It is where you need the get a file from somewhere and you have to kill these people and there is a helicopter flying around with people shooting you. There is a RPG near you so you get that and use it to destroy the helicopter. I don't think it's possible to get the helicopter from that mission. nerner
Here is a method: Calm before the storm: There is a yellow marker which you have to walk into, if you are on PSP, then just walk past it, and if you are on PS2, that won't work, so get on a bike, go onto the railway tracks, then crash your bike until you eventually fly onto the rooftop in a faceplant, that may take several hundred tries, then just get in the heli, but you cannot fly it to your safehouse, as it explodes and wastes you if you are too far away from the yellow radar blip. This heli is also bullet proof by the way. False Idols: Instead of getting a rocket launcher from Phil, just go straight to the west bridge. Now ramp up the side of the bridge, onto te support structure, which may take a few tries. Walk up the diagonal side of the bridge, and jump across to the glitchy roof top area on the other side. Walk across, the heli should be approaching, quickly press triangle when you are level with it to get in. Fly the heli to your garage. Then using a pickup or sports car, push the heli into the garage, this may take a few tries. Hope that this info helped!
Flesh-n-Bone
The "Calm Before the Storm" is possible to get a hold off and fly as far away as you want but it's impossible to save because the Portland garage is too small. First, steal the helicopter the usual way you would see in videos, then trap it under the stairs that you walk up to trigger the next part of the mission, quickly jump down and kill the Triad in front of you then run for the heli and open the door to pull out Massimo, Toni will jump to the driver seat and the pilot will run away. First, get the heli out of the stairs blocking it (after a while you can manage it) and fly away but remember, don't kill all the Triads or the games removes the helicopter as well as you in it which results in being wasted. Also for PS2, using the railway trick, you don't need to land on the roof using the bike. Just dismount on the tracks then jump from the train-tracks to the roof and you'll end up on it's edge, nice and easy!
nerner
OK then, wasn't sure about the PS2 way of doing things because I don't have one, but cheers for the extra info.
GTA_Loco
On PSP you have to blow up the helicopter to obtain it on both occassions that you'll find it in the missions False Idols and Passion of the Heist. Why? In False Idols it is locked, while in Passion it would be flying all the time. PSP garages can restore destroyed vehicles, but PS2's don't so this method won't work. First time I heard about the railway trick to bypass the yellow marker on the PS2. Haven't tested this yet but I was under the impression the entire rooftop is a restricted zone that would always fail the mission if the marker is bypassed one way or another. The heli in Calm Before the Storm is absolutely unobtainable even if there's a big enough garage to store it. You can observe that it would always be deleted after the mission, failed or passed. It can actually fit in the small Portland garage but like I said, the problem is, it wasn't meant to be obtained.

But you can fly it to your garage, and push it in, the only problem is the fact that it always diappears.
Flesh-n-Bone
Yeah, I once managed to get the Maverick inside my Portland garage with the tail's rotor visible but then after I passed the mission it disappeared. The game's script automatically deletes the vehicle when the mission is no longer being played (passed or not). On PS2 you can obtain the False Idols' Maverick easier than PSP since it is unlocked and all you got to do is jump from the Shoreside Vale bridge to a solid roof with no roof textures and jack the heli mid-air. nerner
Yeah, that is definitely easier than blowing it up or mashing about 12 cheats in on the PSP version I guess, although the garages on the PS2 version don't restore blown up cars, which is why the push a blown up maverick method won't work.
