tuareg
Oh well, i got used to using other guns so i don't mind now, but it'd be nice to add a silencer or take stuff off later when you don't prefer using them. I don't understand why they didn't include it.
Dag26
I rented the new Splinter cell and beat it almost straight away. I found it much too short tbh!

Did you play it on Realistic, and beat all the P.E.C. challenges, along with the Co-Op? If not, you didn't beat it.

JOSEPH X
Not heard anyone talking much about online yet. Had one go so far and it bloody crashed. Five waves into the EMP one, thank god it wasn't 19 Is it me, or is anyone else finding the aiming a struggle on line? It feels like the opposite of sticky! When you get it close to an enemy it seems to speed up and overshoot the target. It just felt different to the SP
tuff_luv_capo
Co-op and deniable ops are a blast with a decent partner online. I just always end up doing all the work because my partner doesn't understand what the requirements for "being seen" are.

Five waves into the EMP one, thank god it wasn't 19 Since i finshed the Story on Sunday i've been plkaying either Co-Op or Deniable Ops stuff, mainly Hunter as that mode is just f*cking cool when you have a decent partner, i had 3 games in a row with the same guy earlier and me and him only got spotted twice, once on Lumber yard and another time on the printing place, then the 3rd one we went through completely silent, it was pretty epic. darthYENIK
The only time I got a random partner in Co-Op that was good, like one that actually used their mic, I accidentally picked the wrong level. So I left him, and picked the right level, and got somebody that doesn't speak English. What's worse it was the second mission where you can't be seen, or it's mission failed. I tried a couple times, and gave up on him. EDIT: Has anyone tried the proximity mines? I really like them. I love laying traps, those things go boom, distract the guards, and give me a chance to flank them and rain hell. Kippers
Anyone managed to get through an entire enemy ambush without shooting a single bullet or killing a single person in the single player? I hadn't until I played the Lincoln Memorial level last night. As soon as I ran into the cafe and was told a unit was on the way, I hopped up onto the ledge just above the 2nd floor windows and hung there for about 10 minutes until all 3 groups were swarming the cafe. As soon as I was told to leave I just jumped down and walked to the extraction with no resistance. It was a moment of pure old skool stealth beauty 習うより慣れろ

Mokrie Dela
I've just completed it and want to ask does anyone else feel disappointed? It didn't feel like Splinter Cell to me. It felt like a cheap COD knock off, with a half a*sed stealth mixed in it. The Story felt a little all over the place and the gameplay all went to hell when you had to fight straight up. It certainly doesn't feel like a game that's taken several years to make tbh. Also, WHERE THE F*CK WERE THE TRADMARK GOGGLES? What the hell were those sh*tty "sonar" ones? absolutely useless - Supposedly all in one, but there was no NV - everytime you move you can't see. The controls are all over the place too, made the game fiddly. It was a good game, what the bourne conspiracy should have been imo, but it certainly wasn't Splinter Cell as many of us grew to love. As Roy Walker said, "It's good but it's not the one." I find myself hoping it's the final game in the series, because the series has died, yielding to just another shooter The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. I jumped into the closest building, hid next a boiler or something and shot anyone in the head who went passed the window. I need to find another way next time, though. I'm on my second play through right now, there are so many different ways to pass each level. I didn't think i'd have this much fun with it. Creed Bratton
The only thing I don't like is the new shadow system. I liked the HUD showing your invisibility level better. I don't mind weapon upgrades being non-removable. I use silencers all the time anyway, and the other parts don't really look ugly, except AK-47. That gun should not be upgraded. darthYENIK
Yeah, they added that, feature where you are either completely concealed or completely visible in double agent, removing the visibility meter all together. I never liked it much when it came to the old game play, but with conviction it works better. As for stealthing your way through a level, I'm definitely finding myself doing that a lot more. Kaj.
I believe the old gen DA had the classic visibility meter whereas the current gen DA had some kind of 3 level dealio if I remember correctly.
Creed Bratton
What is the point of making us chose to either kill or save Lambert in Double Agent when he's confirmed dead in Conviction? F*ck Ubisoft!
darthYENIK
I believe the old gen DA had the classic visibility meter whereas the current gen DA had some kind of 3 level dealio if I remember correctly. Correct. There was a little light meter on the back of Sam that was yellow when in in the open, green when concealed, and red when spotted. As for the killing Lambert part, a few game franchises do that. Like in KOTOR and KOTOR II, I believe they had something similar to that.

After all they brought back Sam's daughter and that's not even a major character. I don't understand the whole Coste thing. Why did they even put him in the game. They could have used Lambert for that. Then we wouldn't have to go through that Iraq level, or at least it would have been different and relevant to the story. tuareg
No, the story makes sense this way. Both Lambert and Sarah were important to Sam, one of them had to die. It balances the story out.
matthew1g
Just got this yesterday, Graphics look great. HOWEVER, is it just me who's having sever FPS drops on the PC version? it lags no matter what I do, overclocked my q66 to 3.6ghz and it still lags as bad as when its on 2.4ghz OCing my 4870x2 does f*ck all to improve the framerate, this is a freaking joke. its based on Unreal engine 2. flippin 5 for crying out loud! Lambert being around would ruin the surprise of the reason why Sarah was killed off. Plus Sam killing Lambert, was the catalyst to Sam "going rogue". He had no more ties to third echelon, plus it would take away the excuse for Reed's frame up of Sam, for killing the president. There are a whole bunch of reason why killing Lambert was the right thing to do. And the Iraq level, and Vic Coste, kicked ass. I just wish there was a reference to Doug Shetland in that level. Mokrie Dela
ah shetland. The memories. May i just ask everyone though: SEQUEL? Do you want it, do you think it will/should come etc.... With the shift away from 3E, i dont think SC has much if any life left in the series, unless they went down the Prequel route... Im thinking possible there may be. with sarah alive, she could get kidnapped (again!) and that could force Sam back into the life. I think Post conviction he's retired....
