Hm I don't know... I've heard bad things about the American Red Cross... Meh, I'm not dishing out money anyway, I wasted pretty much all I had saved on Portal 2

Huh? The Red Cross is your safest bet. I would know. After Hurricane Katrina there were buttf*ck loads of dodgy "donation" programs that just took your money and probably spent it on the latest shipment of heroin.. With these folk it's pretty certain where your money is going, I've seen it firsthand.

 

Probably a big shame on me I only bothered to donate when it involved a video game, but at least I still did

Are custom maps and campaighns supported by valve(L4D) and can you use them in multipalyer?

Does this game get support from valve like L4D does.

Are their many hackers in the multiplayer?

Do you pay for items with real money or do you use your score to upgrade weapons?

Edit: @ danjodan: TF2 gets a lot of support from Valve, no worries about that. About hackers, I don't know, I started playing it recently as well; you CAN pay for items with real money (but you don't have to), or you can get them while playing or via crafting it yourself, as far as I have seen.

3) Nope. I haven't come across a single one, thanks to VAC.

4) You can use both. Afer unlocking a certain amount of acheivements you can unlock weapons, or they can be found through item drops.

Hm Jodan, if you're still in need of answers or need more reasons to buy TF2, go to the Official TF2 Wiki because seriously, the game is quite complex right now and it's better to be prepared... Plus it has accurate info on every single weapon item and that kind of stuff, it could be of great help to you...

No problem, it's not that hard to get the hang of TF2, but that wiki has some awesomely done details on some of the weapons and their related bugs...

Also, I got killed by that Golden wrench dude, you don't see Australium statues often...

All of those have been Pre-Purchase offers so far, but Poker Night does give you TF2 items if you play it, like the Iron Curtain Minigun or the Dangeresque, Too? demo shades, a shame I haven't actually got any of it the stuff yet, damn me not being very good at Poker. Oh and get Alien Swarm too if you haven't yet, one of the achievements in that nets you a TF2 hat, plus it's free anyway so why not?

 

On a side note, the Black Pack is awesome.

 

EDIT: Almost forgot, if you have Left 4 Dead 2 you can get the Ellis cap and Frying Pan as well.

I thought that was just if you either owned L4D2 before last October or bought it during the sale.

you'll still get them, valve hasn't bothered with turning it off so yeah.

 

but the items are only a reclaimed each so you should be able to get them without having to buy the game.
