Talking of launch options. I use -novid -window -noborder

 

Its awesome, skips the intro so it boots up faster to the menu, the window and no border runs the game full screen but you can alt+tab out of game to use chrome or anything and it wont minimize and crash the game. Its more useful than it sounds.

use the last two aswell, except that you shouldn't try to use them on weaker PC's...the framerate drop will be visible.

It does on any PC since its moving it back in priority, but yeah. weaker PC's may crash.

EDIT: Also on a totally unrelated event, I'm trying to learn spy... I never noticed how poor spycheckers are engies and pyros these days... I swear they do mistakes I never did as Pyro...

Spy is pretty f*cking easy in some servers. I like to disguise myself as an engie with a 'wrench' out, that way people wont suspect me that much. They think im just running around building stuff. Sniper also works. Pretend that you are sniping, peeking around corners really quickly, and then backstab the nearest unsuspecting guy. That works really well on 2fort, were you usually have 2-3 snipers on the balcony looking the other way.

 

Also, anyone here feeling generous? Im willing to trade a key for a bunch of stuff i dont want/need/have extras. Ill post my backpack in a while.

One of the most fun ways to play Spy is Combat Spy. Revolver + Dead Ringer and maybe a sweet hat. Run into the fray, shoot some fools, Dead Ringer when things get too hot, recharge and re-enter the combat! Razorbacks? Mere playthings!

I crafted the Safe N' Sound four or five days ago. Is crafting hats awesome or stupid? It makes the hat just that much more special for me. I'm proud of my little achievement of headpixels.

 

EDIT: @Vin: The game's not easy on newbies - hell, I'd consider myself a newbie with some 80 hours logged. It does get better as you learn and get new weapons, though. If you ever need one, I wouldn't mind giving away some duplicates.
