I managed to play some good old objective barebones last week. So much fun without the killstreaks.

 

Also love how major leage head glitching dickheads stay away from MW2. I was wondering why it's still so much fun on the 360.

Most of them jumped on the bandwagon after BO or MW3 rather. MW2 was pretty much always free from the tryhard mlg phaggotry. On the 360 it was at least.

Oddly the Xbox community is obsessed with that, and clans. If I play that with my mate for a day we will get at least 10 clan related messages talking of clan tryouts and asking to join the clan blah blah.

 

I have almost Never heard of clan try-outs on PS3, and only a few times Have I been asked to join a Clan or vice versa, most people aren't in clans, they just have mock-up clan tags.

Wow No post for 7 years. Anyway, seeing as they finally released MW2 Remastered, is it worth getting for 20 quid, seeing as it's only campaign. What if they release multiplayer later on? 

 

Need your guys' thoughts.

I hear it is worth it.  I'm excited.  Wish I didn't have to wait for the xbox release.  It sure would help cut through some of these stay in virus hours.

 

My understanding is a lot of the MP maps are part of the current CoD MW MP.

I wonder how low the price will go down, it will probably stay at 19.99 USD forever just because I assume the Ghost pack will be 10 USD cause thats the average price for their weapon pack micro transaction. I hope its cheaper though, and a physical version is released.

I hope they bring MW3 Remastered in about 2-3 years from now. But I am completely satisfied with a remastered MW2. I was hoping that would happen.

TL;DR - Essentially what they are saying is, they will add MW2 elements into MW 2020, therefore a remaster isn't needed.

Which sucks.

Why would any self-respecting PC gamer pay $20 for an always online 5h single player campaign of a game that's not even that old or considered a classic? It's just a f*ckin' CoD game for f*ck sake. These guys are really full of themselves, aren't they?

I never played MW2 in the day so I picked up the remaster and have been thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I must be getting towards the end of the campaign as I've done most of the missions in act 3.

Sitting here just now and my xbox told me CoD MW 2 remaster is ready to play.  So I fired it up and it is.  That is a day early for xbox unless I missed something.

I bought it. I always enjoyed the campaigns on COD and the MW series was always my favourite. 

I noticed a few new achievements/trophies on this remaster, to replace the missing Spec Ops ones. Happy to see this, as I do like going for achievements in games after completion. 

One of the new challenges is to run the pit in S.S.D.D in like 19.5 seconds. I must of just tried it for about 40 minutes and the fastest I got was 22 seconds bang on. This game will be an easy completion (the veteran can be tricky but I've done it before) but this one could provide issues...

I enjoyed it.  I'm sure it helped that this was my first playthrough.  And yes, the No Russian mission is f*cked up.

 

People always seem to like to bust on the CoD campaigns, but I totally enjoy them.   I don't play any CoD MP.

 

The historic war shooter has long been played out.   I wouldn't be surprised if the fictional future/current war formula is the solid future.

I'm not a fan of how they changed Shepherd. He looks like a character out of Brink compared to his more rounded face in the original.

I did it, I finally did it. I'm ashamed to admit how long this took me. I started at around 7pm last night and finally unlocked it at around 10pm. I was restarting over and over and over. If I even missed one target I restarted the checkpoint. It honestly had me pulling my hair out. The real kicker is when I finally got a time of 18.85, the achievement didn't unlock because I was messing about with the cheats on SSDD after collecting all the intel!! So that made me want to smash my face into the wall. Final time after restarting the mission without cheats, was 19.10.

100% on this now. Same as Modern Warfare Remastered, and will do the same for Modern Warfare 3 Remastered when it gets released (which lets face it, it will) 

 

The pit achievement was easily the most testing for me, but the usual suspects still provide a mighty challenge on veteran. Getting to the sub on Contingency, waiting for Makarov's files to download on Loose Ends, and any level that involves a Favela. 

However, this is now the 6th time I have completed this campaign across various consoles, and I found flash banging and running works a treat on this remaster. The invisible "enemies vanish after this point" comes in handy, believe me. However, be careful doing this when method when leaving Makarov's safe house and heading to Shepards chopper, as you can die just as you hit a checkpoint, and respawn completely surrounded and no way of defending yourself. I had to restart.
